I'm in today, lost 3lbs last week of Christmas weight, but still some more to drop! I definitely over ate on feed days last week so last night I listened to a weight loss hypnotism app before I went to sleep! Didn't hear what it said as I never do as I'm clearly very easy hypnotised! Am going to carry on with it this week and see if it helps me avoid the munchies on normal days! Figured it was worth a go! Fasting today though and so far so good! Good luck any other Monday fasters :0)
Good luck Mariposa - and keep up the good work :-)
Hello :) May I join you lovely 36 hour liquid fasters, please? I didn't think I could do it, but I had a trial last Thursday and managed without any problem, so I'm in again today. I think you all inspired me! Thank you.
I'm in today. Still another lb to lose to get back to my pre Christmas weight. @mariposa I've used hypnotherapy a few times and found it very effect - that is how I gave up smoking 26 years ago. I did try it for weight loss but it didn't work so well but it did sort out some other issues  .
I'm in today. I've been gaining week on week for at least 6 weeks now, so hoping last weeks low carbing, 16:8 and NEAT plus today's LF will reverse the trend at tomorrows weigh in.
I used it for smoking once and it worked a treat until I chose to try and cheat it! Figure it can't do any harm as I've definitely been overdoing it between fasts! Minumonline with that many combinations you deserve to head downwards again! I've given in to the evening options hot choc! Might have to get some of that ginger and lemon tea as I love having a hot drink on these chilly evenings! Hi doodle, welcome to the freezing world of 36hr fasting! It saves a lot of faff!
Hi gang! I failed miserably last week at LF - both days ended up with me eating a large slab of Christmas cake. Thankfully it's now all gone (yep, I'm sure I ate more than my fair share of it).... anyway today was my first LF for 2014 and seeing as it's now 20.15 I'm sure I'm going to make it to the end of the day. Nearly had to resort to calling for help in the disguise of a wet fish and a few slaps round the head... but I think I've managed to avoid it.

@Doodle - great to see you here - you see I knew you could do it xx
Thanks Mariposa - fingers crossed

Well done Suchard - Christmas cake needs to be out the house - its my worst temptation

Be interested to hear if the Hypnotherapy helps wildmissus, I've tried it in the past, but was a bit sceptical.

Hi Doodle and jeninboston - hope its gone well for you today.

The funny thing today was I didn't feel I really needed a fast like I usually do on a Monday. Combination of low Carb and 16:8 keeping me from overdoing it, plus a quiet weekend, with no pub/nights out. I've had enough of January now, and want life to get going again!
Thanks for the welcome :) I'm doing fine, thank you. I really don't feel hunger very much these days - not sure if that's odd, but I'm going with it!
Second fast of the week nearly over, although have yet again succumbed to an evening options hot choc! Been a stressful week at work but on a course tomorrow so looking forward to having a break and hopefully learning something new!
What do you all do when you're fasting and it's SO COLD! I was on the Fasting today thread, but so many complaining about the heat in Oz and it wasn't helping! Anyway, I'm doing ok so far, but just really chilly!
I bought very thick slipper socks and an electric blanket! I freeze on fast days, but figure I must shiver off some extra fat which can only be a good thing! In summer it's lovely on hot days, but it's the worst thing for me about fasting!
Managed a surprise LF yesterday. NGot through it too.

Was such a hot day after walking the dog and doing a HIIT cardio and stretches before 11am came home to a plan to do heaps of book work and promptly fell asleep. Didn't get my intended lesson prep done but managed the reading. Later in the day did big session in the garden to try and repair the damage from the heat. With lots of energy still also achieved a marathon effort on the pile of ironing before bed.

Doodle though our cold over here is not as severe as yours up there I found in winter lots of soup will keep you warm on liquid fast days. Recommend the low cal soup recipes on this site. I used wheat bags heated in microwave to take the chill of my achey bones. Ug boots and snug clothing layers also help. I love winter though and if you are effective with your fasting you will be chilly so it has an up side
Thank you :) I'm really bundled up and love the thought that my shivering is actually shivering away some fat!
Throwing in an extra fast day today, feeling hungry now though so unsure whether to have dinner or go right through! Seems a shame this late in the day to not see it through so I might just do that! I could do with a bit more of a leap down on the scales really as these Christmas lbs need to shift! Hmmm...sounds like I've convinced myself! 3rd full fast of the week it is!
