Yes, but only till about 7pm. Not sure what I'll have for dinner but only coffee, tea and water till then. I've lost the 4kg that I'd recently put on (by doing three fasting days spread over 10 days) so today is mainly to create a buffer before I go on my holidays.
I'm in! Not thinking of food till dinner time arrives  :clover:
Must MUST[b] MUST [/b ]try very hard today. Been away and put on a kilo but far worse 3cms round my middle even though I had lots of salads and fruit. also did a lot of walking. All the coffee stops near the roads were closed so there was no way I could snack. but let's be positive it was a truly enjoyable break from routine.
I'm fasting too then <500 calories for dinner. Might try an avocado and soft boiled egg salad?
I'm in today too. I'm a lunch-and-dinner type of 5:2er so I'll be having a bowl of soup (~130 cals) at lunchtime then cod and steamed veggies later on. Have a good one everybody!
I'm in! Back last night from visiting family in Belgium and have eaten much too much while away! Nothing but black tea so far today but I have to go out shortly to fill up the fridge with food. I just have to hope that I can resist the temptation to fill up my trolley with lots of sugary, high carb treats! Protein. fruit and vegetables are figuring high on the shopping list so far. Wish me luck!
Hope the rest of the day goes well for all the Thursday fasters! Stay strong!
Yes, today is my second FD of this week.I've just had my usual main meal of chicken, ham and salad which comes to 342 calories and if I feel hungry later there's still a few calories left. Keeping a few calories back if I can because, rarely for me, I'm going out to lunch the next three days in a row, but at least one is a buffet style venue. Even so, I will still ask for the potatoes/Yorkshire puddings and gravy to be removed on Sunday in exchange for more vegetables!
Failed fast! I had forgotten I had been invited to sit on a 'bake off' panel at lunchtime - I could not say no and disappoint my colleagues. Tasted 16 different cakes, muffins, biscuits ...............
Fasting Friday for me.
I'm in today, just after noon here, having my pot o' green tea and feeling first hunger pangs, quite ignorable. Just the usual today; recovering from a short sleep/VERY long day in Olympia yesterday.
Hi @Ferretgal hey, what is Olympia in your world? x
I fasted too today. I went for a swim and that usually makes me ravenous afterwards so I was a bit worried about trying it on a fast day. However, I didn't feel too hungry when I finished and some sardines and bulgur wheat for supper was fine.

I've noticed that I am quite productive on fast days at work in the mornings, which has surprised me.
hey @Lizbean, Olympia is the capital city of Washington state, and is where my state agency (for which I've been working from home on and off since they closed the Seattle office in Nov 2012) is located. Much smaller than Seattle, about 70 miles south. That last is why I won't commute daily...in case y'all haven't heard, Seattle has HORRIBLE traffic issues. And yesterday we (the person with whom I was riding) got caught in the I-5 closure caused by the Chinese president's visit...sigh.
Hey@ferretgal, I wonder how many Olympia's are on our planet? A friend reached out to find 17 Sheffield towns in the world. Our UK Sheffield town is in our county Yorkshire.
Hope your fast went well. I'm fasting tomorrow, which is okish, but I'd prefer to stay with my safe routine of Mon/Thurs. x
hey @Lizbean, I know what you mean; I varied my fast days recently, but found it was harder to stay on track; I guess I'm just a creature of habit and find if I don't vary, my "mind" doesn't interfere as much. Good luck tomorrow!
