I am "semi" in today. Till now once I am in I stick rigidly to 500 calories and won't go a single calorie over. However this is the 4th fast day this week for me (after a 4 week holiday where by the 4th week fasting completely went by the wayside). My last one this week on Wednesday was really tough. I was unexpectedly at home for the day (typhoon in HK) and so not occupied and very hungry. I stuck to it but it was not fun and then when I went to bed I couldn't sleep and had a splitting headache which required painkillers. So today the only way I can do this is by telling myself I will have two nice healthy and tasty meals with no snacks. I am planning to have a soy, maple salmon with cauliflower and pistachio dish that I was supposed to have last night for dinner (but went out instead) for lunch (390 calories). And tonight I will have the crispy salmon, arugula salad with carrot vinaigrette (recipe on this forum) at 310 calories. So it's an almost fast day for me today. Will go back to strict 500 calorie fasts next week.
I'm planning to do my full fast day today. I am off to a concert tonight which might put sociable feeding my way: code for 2 glasses of wine which might just tipple me over my fast day total  :dazed:
On t'other hand, I'll have enjoyed live music, contributed to joiedevivre with my friends, and can live to fast another day. I'll just call it a 16:8 day instead, as I won't have eaten a full meal up until late.
Good luck to all, :clover:

We seem to be the first Friday fasters on the forum? Is this an earthly delight?
Has it turned the corner yet? What's the weather like for you folks? Lovely day just finishing now in Sydney...
I am in! Third fast of the week for me and thankfully the last! Not sure if I would do a 4:3 week again, although I feel much more positive about fasting today than I did on Wednesday!
Have only been up for 30 mins but have a busy work day planned and lots of admin and housework for this evening. Will be a bit strange not to drink on a Friday night but since I am working tomorrow I can justify it as a weekday night!
Weigh in tomorrow, suspect it will be a plateau but as long as its not a gain I am happy
Am in too

second fast of the week for me, am at work so its a lot easier that when am home :-)

i overdone on chicken last night and i feel sickish this morning, my tummy is in knots and it aint good :frown: grrrrrrr going to have just a soup , small slice of melon and a jelly pot for lunch..

i wont get home till 8pm so no food will pass these lips till then! :victory:

happy fasting everybody!! :clover:
Morning fellow fasters.
I'm in today third fast of the week. Usually do Sunday, tue and Thurs but yesterday was sociable so changed the plan. Isn't it great that we can do that. Friday is the weekend here so it'll be a wee bit different but I want to and feel I need to.
TiareMoari, are you in HK? When we were there there was a typhoon warning and the place was dead! We went into Central (after the warning was lifted) and it was like a post apocalyptic scene. Nothing about, no traffic and very few people. So strange for sucj a busy place. Hope it didn't land and no one was hurt.
Sandcastle- get out there and enjoy the music! SOunds a great night- have fun.
SPanner- hope your day flies past and you get good results.
Happy fasting :D
Intended to fast yesterday but gave up, so here today instead! Have dinner guests tonight so went for a run this morning & therefore won't beat myself up if I eat 700 cals today instead of 500.
I'm in! It's my third fast day this week. Trying out not having breakfast until much later so That I have been fasting for 16 hours not my usual twelve. Must remember to drink enough fluids! x
I'm in today, however not feeling the fasting love today so will see how it goes.

I'm in today. Off on holiday for a week tomorrow so need to know that today is a good one before we go!
not having breakfast was a mistake! grumpy or what??! Last egg was off so one slice of toast and peanut butter x
Hi, doing 16:8 today, but will try to see if I can extend it to longer than 16 hours.
I'm def in today - usually do 4:3 but having weighed this morning I have put on 4lb this week  really need to make sure this week is stricter than the last 2 weeks!
After two days of eating and drinking with no break, a fast is inevitable.
Good luck to all fasters!
