Fasting Today: FRIDAY 20 MARCH
20 Mar 2015, 05:48
Hi everyone. Thought I'd get this started. Nothing to eat until this evening then it's oulled ham, mash, carrots and peas! Too many chocolates eaten yesterday...doh!
Have a Fab Friday Fast Folks! xxxx
hi there @nursebean, i hope i tagged correctly im still new, im also fasting today, will save all my calories for dinner but might have a cup of tea in the afternoon otherwise its lots of water for me
Hello Friday fasters I'm here too, I'm craving carbs prob because the shopping arrived yesterday and the smell of fresh bread has filled the kitchen. Venison tonight maybe with salad and a baked potato.
Good luck everyone.
I'm in today, unusually for me. Third of three and the other two were good! Think i might be back in my groove :victory:
Day off and lots to do so should be fine. Finally met someone who is also IFing- that's a first in two and a half years!
Hope everyone has a good fast today
We can have it tomorrow! :like: :clover:
I'm in too for my usual Friday fast

It's been a really horrible week this week, and I don't think I have made very good food choices ....

I've been in a lot of pain from the lump on my spine , painkillers don't help as it's nerve pain , and then on Wednesday I had an email from one of my dearest friends to say her daughter who is the same age as me (44) has been diagnosed with breast and lymph node cancer which has really thrown me into the miseries as she has a little boy who is only 3 ... I've known her and her sisters since they were all at school , and I really hate that they are all going through this and I can't do anything to help :-(

So good luck everyone fasting today :clover: lets hope whats left of this week gets a bit better
So sorry to hear about your friend @Redrobin. Just being there for her will make a huge difference. xx
I'm in today too - my last Equinox Challenge fastday. I hate it when I wake early on fastdays - there's so much longer till my little lunch. Once I'm there (2.30pm), I know I'm OK for the day.
So here's to black coffee, a bit of an eclipse & lots to do to make the morning pass fast!
Good luck all.
Oh @RedRobin what awful news, and hugs to you both and hope for better days {{{+}}}.

Fasting again today on water, black coffee and cleanse tea so far. Soup at 6.30pm for me then closed kitchen until brunch tomorrow. Watching the partial eclipse took my mind off it.
Happy Equinox everyone!
Good luck Fasters all :0)
Bllimey, just soup? @Azureblue and @WarriorPrincess? How do you cope with the long evenings?
I've bean tempted a couple of times today to delve into the marshmallow bag...but I've bean good...so far! :starving:
oh,this is tough!
not too long to go, but I'm really hungry and tired.
I have Indian and Arabic neighbours, it's the weekend and the cooking smells are wafting into our apartment. It smells delicious!
Poached eggs and toast are delicious, janeg and you'll enjoy them soon. *must stay strong* :starving: :starving:
I'm in! I was going to fast Wed and Thursday but couldn't, so I'm fasting today and also Monday and Tuesday for a good jumpstart my first week returning to 5:2. I don't think I could keep up the 3 days a week - two is enough! - but I want to give myself a nice jumpstart this week.

I have a whole can of Amy's Kitchen soup and add in some green veg like spinach, sprouts etc. proper filling :0)
I'm in for a 1/2 fast today. Nothing til the evening, then pasta with homemade not-at-all-low-cal sauce. Good luck all! :clover:
Hi! It's been awhile. I've been out in the wild's of the Sonora Desert near Yuma. No scale, just the stove and me and Starbucks 20 miles away. Oh, and lots of Mexican food! But, I finally got home and discovered the scale is where I left it and, best of all, my weight is within a half- pound of where it was when I left a couple of weeks ago! Then, Thursday night, I made a grocery run and was checking out when one of the managers was standing there and commented that I had really lost weight and looked great. (I did have my skinny jeans on  ) She said what was it, about 40 lbs? I said yes, overall--had lost some over a couple years prior to 5:2 and then finished with 5:2. I wrote down the fastday.com site for her and the cashier. They were really interested. Life is good!
Bordergirl/Chris
@bordergirl how fantastic that someone noticed your hard work! and that they were interested in this WOE. So sorry to hear about your friend @RedRobin. Have you tried Lyrica or gabapentin for the nerve pain?
This was my second fast of the week. I have 45 minutes before my head hits the pillow. Enough time to do some dishes and clean the bathroom. Get a head start on the weekend chores. I've already brushed my teeth so I wasn't tempted to sip some of my son's smoothie as I made it. Would love to eat something but 45 minutes is such a short time to go. This is always the hardest time of day on my non-fast days, just before bed. I roughly count up my calories for my TDEE and then if I have some left over I pig out till I reach it.
Well, I've written that I won't eat now, so I won't even though I know no one will read it this late at night  If you do, sleep tight! :sleepy: I'm accountable to the written word!
