Well, I am fasting on a Friday for the first time and I am a little nervous about it. While I have not been very consistent on the days of the week I fast, I've been able to fast twice a week since I started (19th August). This week I was planning to fast on Monday but had a sudden invitation for lunch so I just switched to Tuesday. But I forgot I had plans to go out for breakfast on Thursday so I could have fasted on Wednesday but I didn't want to do it two days in a row. The last option was Friday, so here I go hoping that nobody decides to organize a last minute gathering or party...

I had my lunch at 12.30 and not sure there's much hope of not eating or drinking past 8.30 on a Friday but we'll see.
I'm not gonna beat myself up if I don't manage because I have had two successful fasts this week.

Really at maintenance now but I will keep doing the fasts to help make up for excess on other days and because I feel better for it!

I actually didn't eat well at all yesterday - what I ate was crisps and train sandwiches, mainly. And, apart from water and coffee, that was it until I hit the wine bottle. Despite that, I got on my scale this morning for my daily weigh-in and saw that I'd lost another kilo! This is the lowest I've been in at least 5 years. So I got out the tape measure and I've lost 6cm from my waist, 0.5 from my thighs, 2cm from my hips and 5cm from my tummy. So this month alone I've lost 13.5 cms! I wasn't going to do this until the end of the month but I'm so chuffed as I felt I'd been plateauing the last couple of weeks and I've only been in since the beginning of August. I've hung in because I felt the plateau might be premenstrual water retention and I'm glad I did.
I'm in a very good mood this morning!
