Hello Friday fasters! I am in today! It is unusual for me to be fasting on a Friday but I was out walking in the wilderness yesterday and I didn't want to faint on the track and we also had squab for dinner. Yes,@nursebean, that is pigeon. We raise them ourselves on our block and we wanted to share them with my visiting cousins. They are rich in calories so not a fast day dinner . I'm not sure what my fast day dinner today will be. Just about to check out the freezer and see what presents itself. It is going to be a lovely day. First day home after being away for a week and without visitors so I will catch up on lots of little jobs and potter around the garden and the house. Go well, other Friday fasters.
Thanks for kicking us off - I'm in the early hours of my usual Friday fast. Hoping to fall asleep at some point.

Good Luck, Friday fasters. :clover:
Wishing you a lovely fast day. It's great to come home, enjoy your potter!
Happy Friday to all fasters :clover:
Bed for me ....
Now I've got that episode of Friday Night Lights on my mind, the one where Tim Riggins orders squab rare. haha.

I'm in too. It feels like it's going to be a tough day. I'm *so* hungry (though thinking about rare pigeon has put me off a bit, so thanks for that, @Sallyo!)
Have a good one Feisty Friday Fasters x x
I have just had a lovely lunch ot salad, avocado and halloumi. Gone over my daily allowance but feel that this should keep me going until tomorrow morning, so I'm calling it a fast!!
Welcome home @Sallyo and enjoy pottering, and fasting at home after a lovely trip! I'm fasting as usual and need it. We have driving rain here, it's dark and cold with possible sleet showers and some snow later. Have success, all fellow fasters. :clover:
Image Happy fasting all from me, too. Last 4:3-day of the month, 13 on the whole Image...
This is my vision for tomorrow after my weigh-in Image Look forward to eating after a back-to-back more than on other FDs... Image

Cheers Image

How lovely to meet you on a fast day,@Katharina. I am resisting handfuls of nuts as I cook dinner. Onions gently frying now and some potatoes simmering. Just a little mashed spud with duck livers and onions. Also beans from the garden. Fresh peaches from the garden for pudding. Very hungry after a walk in town. I have started reading Michael Pollan's book 'Cooked' and I just bought 'In Defense of Food' as a birthday present for a friend. He is such a great writer! It inspires me to sit with the OH at the table to eat and not stuff food in my mouth as I watch the news on telly. I think I will even get some flowers for the table. Take care in that weather, Katharina
I'm in too from an icy Sussex !
I woke up hungry as well @MaryAnn as I was playing claw back yesterday, I went over TDEE by about 400cals on Wednesday night and was trying to make up for it as I so so don't want to see the scale going up now I have managed to get it moving down :-(

I don't know if it will work but I sure hope so !

Can anyone tell me how hard doing back to back is ? It's my husbands birthday in a couple of weeks time and we have two meals out for it as its his 50th and the only way I think I am going to save my Equinox Challenge is if I do an extra fast but it will have to be back to back as his birthday is on a Wednesday and the second meal is on the Saturday , so I will have to do Monday , Tuesday ,Friday or Monday , Thursday Friday ...and the thought is a bit scary
Good luck all my fellow Friday fatsers, I will be doing a halfy today,
I'm in, started last night at 6.30 as usual. Snow fell last night so OH has skipped off to the park, camera in hand, for jolly snow pix, leaving me waiting in for the people coming to change our electricity meter. I daren't put a wash load in or noisily vacuum, their letter said they would arrive between 8am to 6pm :0@
Ho hum.
I've lit the fire :0)
Happy fasting one and all.
I'm not a fan of back to back, @RedRobin.
@RedRobin, go for it if it feels right for you. An alternative is to fast the day you have your celebration meal and just have that meal for the day, that way you should still have calories. Quite a few have done it, I have in the past too, but we don't advocate any more than that although I am aware that Krista Varady does on her ADF method.
I had my main meal at lunchtime, my calories came to about 650 but it worked for me eating earlier. I can hold out until the following day if I find I'm hungry in the evening.

Good luck and enjoy those meals!
Debs
Thanks for the advice @Debs I think I will do that , his birthday is Ash Wednesday so quite appropriate for me to just have the one meal !
Then I might keep Sunday light but not a true fast ...usually after we have had a BBQ meal with friends I don't feel much like eating the following day anyway ... protein overload  but we have found proper Texan BBQ and its soooo good the best I have found in the UK so far :like:
