This is so weird to be the first one to post on a Monday morning....

Good morning !!!

I am in for my first fast this week and I plan on making the potimarron soup I was supposed to make last week. I am cold already and have to find something other than coffee or tea to keep me warm so it could be a bit challenging but I am fine with it.

Good luck :clover:
The soup is made, I already gave it a taste, and it's so good

I'm joining you again today @Manderley. I have potimarron soup for lunch too but mine is much more orange than yours.
Spicy vegetable stew with Slim Rice for dinner.
Good luck everyone :clover:
I was a bit surprised with the colour but maybe it is because I put half chciken broth and half milk ? Anyway it is really tasty and that's all that count, really

How did you make yours ?
I roasted the potimarron for 45 minutes, until soft, and spooned the flesh
Cooked on a low heat a big onion and 3 garlic cloves
Put the mix in my cooking blender
Add 1 cup low fat and low sodium chicken broth + 1 cup milk and cooked/blend the whole mix
It's 3pm on a dark grey fasting Monday, very uninspiring.
I'm aiming for 6.30pm to complete my 24 hour fast, then lentil with veg soup will warm me up.
I'm supposed to be looking for xmas presents for the family but nothing so far :0(
Chin up folks, keep up the good work :0)
@Manderley, I made my soup last week and froze it in portions. I used half a squash, (peeled and chopped) 1 onion, celery, garlic and some lentils and some dried chillis. I have an electric pressure cooked called an Instantpot, I put everything in with some chicken stock and cook it on high pressure for 20 mins, then blend it with a stick blender. Last week it made 6 portions at about 100 cals per portion.
Ladies, you are making me hungry! I suppose everything sounds good right now; it's not quite 1:30 pm here, having green tea, food later. I do have a go-to soup for light days, Amy's canned split pea; 100 cals a cup, and quite filling. And I "made" a souplike dish a few light days ago, with fake chicken, mushroom broth, veggies... maybe I'll have that again tonight.

Posted about my challenges on light days recently. To update, the strategies I've been trying have helped: broth earlier in the day; eating a protein snack earlier (usually egg); saving my "reward" (nf icelandic yogurt with fruit and melted chocolate) till bedtime. Looking forward to the "reward" (and having it last thing) helps me stay on track. For those of you who love your chocolate, it's amazing how much further a couple of squares go and how much more satisfying when melted and drizzled over something, than just popping them in your mouth. And it "feels" naughty, even though it isn't.
