Fasting today, Monday 18 April
18 Apr 2016, 01:19
Good morning Monday fasters - where are my Monday down under friends?
I'm fasting today as usual and finding it fairly easy despite working at home this morning. Planning a chickpea and veggie burger with a tomato, coriander (cilantro) avocado, onion and mango salsa for dinner tonight. Hoping to get to a step class at the gym later this afternoon so might have an apple around 4.30 to give me a boost before that.
How are you spending your Monday fast day?

I'm looking forward to a good strong week as we approach the end of @ADFnFuel's current challenge

I'm in today @pilchards
Working all day so I shouldn't have to much trouble sticking to it, I don't keep temptations around at work.
Possibly a mushroom and onion type stoganof for T
Good luck everyone x
Supporting you today @Pilchards and @Cathykaty].
Not a fast day for me - but I am hoping to do a fast tomorrow. Although maybe like last week it might be a 600 day rather than 500. I am doing a network upgrade at work (I am in library IT) - and need some fuel during the day to get through!
Good luck to all the Northern Hemisphere Monday fasters.
I'm in today - had some much hoped-for weight loss last week (after many weeks of little to no loss) so I'm feeling quite motivated. I'm having lots of black coffee, salmon on a bed of green salad for lunch, then an omelette followed by yoghurt and berries for dinner. :clover: :clover: everybody!
I'm fasting today after not fasting for a very long time. I was thinking about joining W.W. because I'm so discouraged about how I look and feel. But I really do prefer the 5:2 approach. I found this web site and decided "no" to W.W. and I'm hoping, now that I've found an on-line, 5:2 community, that I will be successful.
Thanks for being here.
I'm in as usual for a Monday. Aqauajog this morning and U3A meeting this afternoon have filled my time nicely. Was in Amsterdam for a few days last week so no fast days and more alcohol than usual but lots of walking and probably fewer snacking opportunities. Paradoxically I had the lowest Monday morning weigh in for some time today! As usual the problems I have with constipation while on 5:2 resolved when not fasting so maybe that has something to do with it - see what next week brings  We are having cod with a pea and lentil braise for dinner tonight. I made it some time ago and had half the 'braise' in the freezer so an easy meal to prepare.

@fancycuppa, your food this fast day sounds good. I think I'll do salad with some cheese later, and ; after, the omelet , yoghurt, and berries. Also trying to remember to drink some iced tea I made (no sugar or chemical sweeeteners ), coffee, and water to keep hydrated. Also, I'm keeping busy and out of the cupboard.
Fasting today. Hi all fellow fasters, and a big welcome for nmparadise ! I tried 5:2 on my own awhile ago, and didn't last. This is a wonderfully supportive group, and many ideas posted here and there. Good luck, and let us know how you are doing.
:clover:
I have been away for a long time but I am back to 5:2 again! Am hoping I can stick to it properly this time - I don't think I can cope with every other day fasting so am easing myself in gently again with 5:2. I joined SW six weeks ago and am failing miserably so hoping that a combination of 5:2 and SW will do the trick. Good luck to all Monday fasters.
@nmparadise, post in the Introduce yourself thread so we can get to know you better; tell us about your (weight loss) challenges and how you got here, and your hopes for the future.

I'm in today, just after noon here and am having my pot o' green tea, the usual later on. Looking forward to a better selection of fresh fruit soon; my fave light day snack is FF Greek yogurt with fresh peaches...but the peaches must be the good kind, which we don't get till July or August. Local strawberries (not at all the same as the icky woody California ones) should be out in June, or maybe earlier, given how much sun we've had lately.
@Motherof2and @nmparadise, here's a pdf I put together for a friend of mine...

Wasn't as low as I wanted today, due to unexpected cake at work which would have been rude not to.
I'm now weighing every day which will and has kept me on the straight and narrow.

Prawn and canellini beans with celeriac slaw for lunch. Then beef with chorizo and steamed veg for dinner. Prob 600-700 cals so I'm taking that as a low day.
