I'm in again for a Monday fast. Who else will join today? Just had a poached egg and a VERY thin slice of bread with a scraping of butter. Now for a delicious black coffee.
I'm in Sallyo.
A very frosty morning here so lots of hot drinks to keep me going through the day.
Carmel
Hello @carmelk46 and @Sallyo and fellow fasters,

BBBRrrrrrrr its a very chilly frosty morning here in Melbs as well.
I will be doing the same Sally, warm drinks and I made a pot of my special pumpkin soup yesterday, I will have a cup of that if and when I get peckish. I continue to do well, and am excited that the scales are coming down finally, I certainly have motivation as my son is getting married in December and I want to be able to look and feel fabulous!

Where and when are you moving Carmel? I hope we can stay in touch, you must be so very busy.
Have a great day everybody

cheers
Maggie x
Yay, @carmelk46. Great to see you! @Maggiee, pumpkin soup is on my menu for today too. I have a Greens event at my place and I am feeding everyone with it. I grew a lot of pumpkins last summer and they are very good. I am selling them for local currency and this weekend I made 70 units from selling pumpkin! I sold it for 3 units a kilo which is what it cost in Australian dollars at the local greengrocers. But I'd better get off my bum as I have been sitting here by the fire with the lap top on my lap for far too long! Things to do, places to go - like the kitchen.
I am in too. Just had a cup of hot tea for this very cold day and off to hot yoga to get me warmed up. :clover:
Hi @Maggiee
We hope to move to Shepparton which is where I grew up.Our house officially goes on the market next Saturday and depending on how quickly it sells we will start searching for a house in earnest. We have only been surfing the internet until now but there seem to be a few house that will suit us and the caravan.
In the meantime I have to try and get back to my fasting routine
I'm fasting today. Busy day for me ..... soup at lunchtime and blueberries and greek yoghurt for supper.
Good luck to all :clover:
I'm in today as well. Got a few things to do today and I'm back to work tomorrow (groan) after a fortnights holiday. I feel like I still need a holiday as the weather here hasn't been great, currently 13c and the middle of summer!. The next time I have a 2 week holiday I will make sure that we go away for at least a few days as a change of scenery is good!

For months now I've had terrible trouble trying to fast and the weight it just creeping up and up. I think I have been thinking of 5:2 as just another diet so I have been working on changing my focus from losing weight to getting healthy. So...I'm thinking of joining the gym. I used to go the the local council gym years ago and now that I finish work at 2pm there is no reason why I couldn't go to the gym in the afternoon when it is quiet. I have also been aware for some time now that I lost a lot of muscle in weight rather than fat and feel so weak. I really should just join before I talk myself out of it, it only costs £19.50 per month and there is no contract so if it didn't work for me I could cancel at any time.
Checking in for the day and so far so good! Keep up the great work everyone!
I'm in as usual. My first full week back fasting after a 10 day holiday. My weight this morning was the same as the Monday before we went away although my Libra trend weight is about 1lb up so not too bad all in all.Easy to distract myself with gardening at this time of year. Just had my dinner of salmon with watercress sauce and veg - came in at 298 cals so room for a hot chocolate later
Im in, 12th hours as usual lol. Had a good day with 450 cal meal half an hour ago.

Hope you all did well. X
I'm in today, not quite 1pm here, having my green tea now, will do a broth later, yogurt and fruit, then dinner after 9pm. Feeling a little hungry now, but nothing I can't deal with. Friend sent me a link about why "hangry" happens; apparently linked to hormone release when blood glucose gets low. Honestly, I seldom have this problem, though I can get quite impatient as dinnertime approaches!
About to have supper, the soup - I missed at lunchtime, blueberries and yoghurt.
Hi @Wildmissus because I had such a painful-ouch knee I approached 52 from health rather than weight, though I recognised they were linked. What worked for me exercise wise was making sure I walked gently but good distances on every fast day - Mon/Thurs. I fasted (no cheating) and walked gently. I guess what I'm trying to say is to build up your exercise from a base that you set yourself. A bit like reducing our carbs gently and gradually. Slow and steady worked for me  :victory: x
@Ferretgal mind that 'hangry' moment ... no chewing allowed apart from bringing forward supper time   :victory:
