Just popping in before dashing into town early, to beat the rush, to say, I'm fasting today. Eggs and smoked salmon for tea. xxx Have a good one everyone.
Am fasting today too, @Sallyo. :) The stifling Brissy heat and humidity is somewhat helping curb my appetite, but before leaving for work, my dear husband made a yummy loaf in the bread-maker, and now the house smells heavenly! :starving: ARGH! Avagoodwon! ;)
I will be joining you once it's Monday in the US.

I have to say, this is the first December in a long, long time where I weigh less on the 20th than I did on the 1st. I hope I can say that about the 31st as well :-)
Am joining you @Sallyo will also be fasting today. Tinned salmon and a green salad at 4pm. :like:
I'm in today.
I am in today as well and after baking more than 300 Christmas biscuits during the weekend  , I really am looking forward to it

Good luck to everyone :clover:
Morning all  I'm here today... I shall be mainly pottering about so will hopefully keep myself distracted til dinner time, salmon and broccoli to look forward to

Have a great day everyone :clover:
In today. Lean chicken and salad this evening. Off to family tomorrow so this is my last fast of the year. I will try to eat sensibly and have small portions but fasting would be difficult in someone else's home. They would be very upset/disappointed if I refused their offerings after all the work they had done.. I usually lose weight over Christmas - love all those veg, salads and fruit. Unfortunately I can't say the same after new year when all those nuts need finishing (not a chocoholic but a nut nutter).
Seasons greetings to all what every your faith.
That's me done... I've had some irritating self-sabotaging arguments going on in my head this evening, but thankfully I managed to bat them off! This is my 8th week back, and I refuse to let naughty thoughts throw me off :curse: I think that my 2nd fast this week will be Wednesday, rather than Thursday.. it might take the pressure off in case I have "....but it's christmaaaaas" thoughts - they might be harder to ignore!!

Hope everyone else doing OK :like:
I'm in today; just realizing that the next two Thursdays are Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. I'm more likely to fast this Thursday, and switch next week's to Friday. Just having my pot o' green tea now, just after 12:30 here and hours till I have my (yummy delicious) broth. Feeling chilly, so will probably resort to soup later on, maybe poached eggs.
Well it's 4:34pm here and I'm on my third cup of black tea. I'm starting to get hungry because I've just started a nice mexican-ish inspired soup with onions, celery, poblano chili peppers, red bell peppers, carrot and some very very lean chicken chorizo (fresh, mexican style) with spices and chicken broth. I'll add some black beans later, after the soup's had a chance to simmer a while. I will make it to dinner at 6 but I may be cranky before I get there >.<

I have to start baking Christmas cookies. I've had too many requests for them. And I have to make spiced nuts. I am not sure if I can handle those tasks tonight.
I'm fasting today as well. I have my meal in the morning. Protein shake today. I've had coffee and tea to sustain me. This is my third week of fasting, and this week has been easier than the first. My second fast day is Wednesday. Looking forward to enjoying Christmas Eve dinner with the fam. Happy holidays!
Welcome to the forum, @BeautyNovice -- I also added you to our fitbit group per your request :-)
OK, so I used one of the strategies: "Get alone with a vegetable." I came home HUNGRY and made a quick salad and ate that while other food cooked. I think it helped, to keep me from snacking and getting too hungry to make a proper dinner. Nice and satisfied tummy for now; got some 90 cal Chobani in the fridge and fresh pineapple, and enough cals left just in case I need a little sumpin sumpin before bed...
It all went well yesterday, the soup was great, I could taste the meat I cooked Saturday (I put the juices of the meat as a kind of stock) and I even have enough for a snack at lunch
