Fasting today Monday, 23 May
23 May 2016, 02:51
Nearly lunchtime on this hot and windy Sydney day. Having a good Monday fast day following an indulgent weekend on the food and drink front. However, I was very active with 40,000 fitbit steps over the two days so hope that will go some way to counteract my wine consumption!
About to go out for a lunchtime walk to avoid the lunch room. A 100 calorie apple on the way to the gym this afternoon then a tuna and pasta dish for about 350 calories.

Happy Monday fasting everyone! :clover: :clover: :clover:
Hello, I'm fasting today. Hope you continue to have a good day @Pilchards.
On morning tv today they are at last talking about how eating full fat doesn't make you fat. Of course the "expert" tv presenters and 'TV' Dr (Dr Hilary) are poo pooing it, but at least they're putting it on mainstream. Maybe people will look into the facts themselves.
As for today, water and coffee all day (with milk, I don't think it makes a difference for me and I enjoy my coffee more. Whatever gets me through the day). Later I'll be chipping away at the palm trunk. That should kill a few hour and burn some energy. Then chicken salad for dinner tonight.
Happy fasting all :clover: :clover: :clover:
Good Morning from a very sunny Doncaster
I'm in as usual today, I'm at work until 5 so T and low cal juice this morning and fizzy water from around 12 should do the trick.
I've had a good weekend with plenty of walking and not to heavy on the treats.
I really only want another 4lb, so here's hoping for a good result on the scales on Friday.
Good luck everyone :clover: :clover: .....see you Thursday
I'm in today. Only black, de-caff tea until dinner this evening. I've already done an hour of Pilates and cleaned three bathrooms this morning so, once I have read my fill on this forum, I will head into the garden to keep busy! It's hard to eat with mucky fingers!
I am in today. Everything was fine until now but, of course, that couldn't last..... Since I quit smoking, fasting is a pain and I have crazy mood swings, which makes things worse. I am trying to focus on something, anything, but nothing seems to work. Well, only 10 hours before I go to sleep.....

Good luck :clover: :clover:
I've been in the garden all afternoon. 2 hours working on the palm trunk (still loads to do) and a few hours digging beds (getting them ready for planting) and general pottering about. I did have a small salad at about 3:30. Not something I normally do on a fastday but I must of needed it after all the garden work. My chicken salad evening meal is nowhere near 500cals, so all is good.
Hope you're all having a good day :)
Oopps , forgot to say welcome back @Manderley and well done on quitting smoking. :) Hang in there, it's even closer to bed time now :)
It's 08:00PM here and everything went well, except I was in a crazy bad mood all day. And I mean bitchy kind of mood  . The nicotine withdrawal added to the fast makes a deadly combination

However I had my mushroom soup (store bought, I'm afraid) and will now try to relax a bit, listening to some music as Mr Manderley won't be home before 11:00PM
I'm in, still early here (12:30) so working on my pot o' green tea. The usual later. Though I'm going to try and make myself put something decent together for din din; have been lazy and it's becoming a problem.... Need something filling and warm by that time, but when I'm ravenous and grumpy I have no patience with cooking.
Good morning from rainy Maine on Tues. I fasted Mon., but was out and busy, not tempted. My breakfast was home-made oatmeal with nuts and coconut (unsweetened). Only after eating did I count calories. Oops - not much left for the rest of the day.
Lots of "T and low cal juice this morning and fizzy water " like @ Cathykaty. Then nothing till I gave in around 10 pm and ate leftover pizza that the dog and I had been drooling for since dinner. Some fastdays are like that!
And @justdee , I too take milk in my coffee and black tea. Yes, I count the calories, and don't have many on fastdays. I am glad this WOE is on tv, but not when derided. My new cardiologist won't listen or research it, and says "Do not fast!" I guess I will just say, "I am counting calories."
@Pilchards, the tuna and pasta sound good. Is the recipe listed here on line?
@ StowgateResident I love your way of keeping from eating by gardening 'with mucky fingers,' it made me laugh.
@Manderley, I gained wait when I stopped smoking, even without changing what I ate. How do you deal with that change in metabolism? or does this diet counter-act that? :clover:
@ferretgal how did dinner go? I'm with you, and have to prepare ahead.
Hope you all did well yesterday, and resisted that pizza, or other tempting snack. Time to exercise off some of it. :clover: :clover:
