Fasting today - Monday 27 June
27 Jun 2016, 00:05
I'm here today for my normal Monday fast and feeling good. Busy day in the office with a quick walk at lunchtime, then gym this evening before a tasty and warming veggie curry for dinner. I have had one cup of tea with a splash of milk and will have lots of water and herbal tea (my favourite is Pukka peppermint and liquorice - it has a satisfying sweetness to it). I often have a nice crunchy apple on the way to the gym.

My fitbit has a great feature on it that buzzes at ten minutes to the hour if I haven't done 250 steps in that hour and that is my cue to walk to the kitchen and get a glass of water. I find that having 1 glass each hour throughout the day is a good way of making sure I get my 2-3 litres. What tricks do you have to help you achieve your goals?
Happy Monday fasting everyone. Good luck to the old crew and welcome to any new members as we kick off the week.
Sorry @Pilchards, I won't join you today. I've had a sore throat since Wednesday, then got the body aches and colds, so I feel the need to feed my body today rather than starve it. I've been craving carbs too so after a weekend shop my cupboard is full of bread and cakes in all colour and sizes. I might need to try the BSD in a couple of months time as my weight is creeping up slowly but steadily :( Anyone else thinks that might help or should I go back to proper 5:2 once I feel 100%?
Sorry to hear you are poorly @WMR309 and you definitely need to nourish yourself. There certainly seem to be some good results with the BSDers and I was considering it to give myself a bit of a boost but think I will stick with the regular 5:2 as it suits my lifestyle. My weight has been pretty static for a couple of months now (up and down the same kilo) but this morning a jacket I hadn't worn for ages, and which was always a bit snug, is fitting very comfortably and with I can even do it up which, with my ample bosom, is not always possible!
See you back here when you are fully recovered.
Hi @Pilchards. I am joining you today. A very chilly day in Melbourne. Just having a late lunch of Miso soup and a couple of gherkins! Omlette for dinner tonight.
Who else is in for a Monday fast?

cheers
I'm in today, still early here (not yet 11am), about to go make my pot o' green tea. Today is light day #225! (I keep track in a journal...)
Hi, I fasted yesterday, and it went well.
@ Pilchards, I make sure I have enough liquid by having 1 cup low-cal. fruit juice in a quart jar with soda water, ice, and a straw. It is summer here, so the ice helps. I use all-fruit, no sugar added, or chemical sweetners. Later I have more ice water and maybe a lemon slice. Haven't found a good reminder for the steps. I like yours.. I'll have to think about that one.
Fri. night I had a sore throat and low fever, and slept a lot and ate sweets all weekend. I thought I'd skip Mon., but felt good and tried it.
What is cha-cha? I am up and down 3 pounds, and want to stop. It's hard to avoid carbs on 'normal' days.
I hope you feel better also, @Wmr309.
