Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.

It looks like there was no one posting anything on the weekend. That must be a first?!
Anyway, less than four weeks to go on the Christmas Challenge so today is my first fast of the week, to be followed by Thursday's. Going back to what worked really well my first year; Mexican pizza from the original 5:2 book (pita bread with tomato paste, lots of vegies and bocconcini cheese).

Anyone joining me today?
Hi @wmr309

Hope your fast is going well! Your dinner sounds nice.

I used to fast Mondays, but Wednesdays or Saturdays now suit me better as I am busy for a lot of the day, which helps greatly. Though as you may have read, on a fast day I don't often do a 500cal fast, just try to eat as late as I can and keep the cals as low as I can but not go to bed feeling hungry. And I generally only do a fast day (as such) if I feel I have overeaten.

I did post on the weekend, to Zincubus, but no response from him yet. I think there was maybe one other post on the weekend. Maybe our US friends are still recovering from Thanksgiving?! It certainly is very quiet here, even those who were posting quite regularly up til a couple of weeks ago seem not to have posted at all - CandiceMarie for instance. And I do hope Pernelle, Hazelnut20, is okay.

Best wishes! :clover:
I am fasting with you today. And I was fasting even yesterday. I thought of starting a 'fasting today' page yesterday, but then I could not be bothered. Sorry! Yesterday was a bit of a 'hassle' day... I am fasting every day now with my short window (about 3 hours!) until Christmas. This is a traditional christian fast before the Feast of Christmas. Such a beautiful idea. This does really help me not to put on so much weight at Christmas, when lots of goodies are 'allowed'....
I spent this morning looking at Christmas recipes, not such a great idea, when fasting :starving:
I am waiting for snow. I did snow just now but it is melting away in the sunshine we now have. I do love the sunshine  .
I was 57.9 kg this morning, which is far too much for little me :frown:
But this Advent fasting ought to bring my weight a bit down anyways  .
I'm in today; subbed Friday for Thursday, since light days don't work too well with Thanksgiving! I made a pecan pie that was a big hit. Since I had Friday off, I REALLY didn't want to fast on Friday... but I did! I've found a way around my natural stubborness, when I go, "I don't wanna!" I just tell myself to start the light day--not hard 'cause I don't usually eat much early in the day anyway, just black coffee most mornings--and "see how it goes." I also did this on a couple of light days where I wasn't feeling well for whatever reason (not really sick, mostly sleep deprived). And once I get "into the swing of things"--especially once I get to mid afternoon--I have enough hours fasting that I can tell myself, Hey, you might as well keep going... TBH, I have never "missed" a light day--I've subbed, and I've gone over calorie wise a few times--and I'm afraid to skip one; seems it could be the beginning of the end. Way too easy to slide down that slippery slope!
Been settling my dad's affairs since he died Nov 22 so that explains where I've been. Those who have done this know how time just isn't your own.
Hi @ADFnFuel

A sad time for you. I can certainly empathize with what you are going through. My mum died earlier this year. I hope you have lots of good memories to treasure. Best wishes.
