Fasting today, Monday 30 May
30 May 2016, 03:32
Hello to all my fellow Monday fasters. I am here today for my normal first fast of the week. Cool and sunny here in Sydney and just had my normal lunchtime walk around a local park (about 20 minutes) to distract me from the lunch room. Gym after work then a nice wholesome veggie dinner to end the day.

@Moira145, I know you were planning a Monday fast this week, who else is here today?
Hello, I'm here for my Monday fast. This morning I feel a boost of motivation, I hope it carries me through the week. I'm going to take advantage of it and go for a walk before it gets too hot. I had a good weekend (food-wise), with-in TDEE without trying. I can't believe I'm still on track and still feeling so positive with this WOL. Don't want to speak too soon, but may be, just may be this time I'll stick to this WOE and eventually get to goal.
Good luck today :clover: :clover: :clover:

I too am fasting today as I have managed to put 7 lbs back on! I can do this and get back on track.
Hooray
It's a bank holiday in Britain so I'm not fasting today but will fast tomorrow. :clover: Good luck to those of you who are fasting. :clover: Stay strong! :victory:
Hi there!

I'm fasting today, I've decided to go to one day a week as I'm around my target and have faith this will keep me there! I do feel a bit like I'm 'cheating' the health benefits of my fast today though as I'm only on my second day of a different job, a lot of which involves cooking a large dinner with care home residents (!). I'm dealing with my new workplace nerves and the giant meal cooking temptation - BTW I'm always offered a plate :) - by dividing up my calories to include a few snacks. A slice of smoked salmon to be exact and a milky tea which I hope will balance my blood sugar until I get home for my mackerel salad in the evening.

I'm a believer in the health benefits of fasting but I think today I allowed to tweak it a bit. Saying that though I'm amazed at people who cn eat NOTHING all day and just have a dinner. Superhumans. I must have a morning tea. Some smoked salmon for lunch and then fast until dinner. I'm really glad I found this site. No one I know fasts and as I'm a healthy weight people can thinks it's weird!
'Tweaking' is one of the best things about 5:2, Casio, you can tweak things and mostly it turns out ok in the end. I love the flexibility of it being a WOE and not a fixed 'diet'. Good luck! :clover:
Good luck bank holiday fasters.
Hi all Monday fasters - I hadn't planned to fast today but then got v busy with my Mum who had just moved into a new flat ...she's 95 and a bit wobbly so it seems like there's always something that needs input. Anyway usual lunchtime came and went so decided to press on and finish the fast tomorrow lunchtime. I love this WOE, so flexible and has taught me that I don't need to fear the odd hunger pang, it will pass. Like you Cario, I am a normal weight, highest BMI was only 24.5, now 22 and 4" gone from waist, one stone lighter... currently wearing some beautiful jeans I used to look at and fondle occasionally, they are now fitting perfectly.
