Fasting today - Monday 4 July
03 Jul 2016, 23:39
It's grey, cold and wet today in South Australia but I'm going to make this a successful fast day. I had one coffee with milk and will have another one later this morning but no other calories until a leek and butterbean soup for tonight. The family can have some bread with theirs and some of the chocolate brownies I made over the weekend. I'll have mine tomorrow. Good luck fellow fasters!
Hi @wmr309, we must have posted at the same time! I'll see if I can cancel my thread, or ask an admin to. Jx

Good morning and Happy Birthday America as you celebrate the 4th of July. :usa:

I am here today for my first fast of the week/month and the first in @justdee's new challenge. Everyone is sick in the office today :pill: so I am sipping on an apple cider vinegar with warm water to try and keep the flu bugs at bay. Will have a lunchtime walk in the sunshine :sun: to top up my vitamin D levels (and get a few more steps for my fitbit) and then hit the gym after work. Roasted veggies with goats cheese and rocket for dinner before a date with the ironing basket to distract me from the evening munchies. I have been falling into bad ways again in the last couple of weeks and snacking during the evening (I blame by OH who tempts me with chocolate and lollies). Feeling very strong and positive this morning. Good luck to all the Monday fasters. :clover:  :clover:
Hello everyone. I'm in for my first fast of the week, planning a second one on Thursday. Not eating until the evening when it will be stir fry veg with a small bit of yesterday's roast pork. I'm drinking lots of water and tea with a splash of milk to keep me going.
Had a swim and a walk this morning (6900 steps or so my friend assures me). Ironing later and then choir tonight so hopefully the evening will fly by. That's my weak time too Pilchard.
I've ordered a Fitbit which should arrive on Wednesday so I'm feeling very motivated at the moment!!
Good luck everyone.
Hi all :) BruceE and I are in for today. He has to work (at home, at least) and that animals don't do well with fireworks so we are just pretending it's a regular Monday. We will wait to eat as long as possible and then have salads and chi ken. :)
Hi all,I think Monday's fast is the only one I look forward to,but today went well, chicken and salads for dinner
All the best to everyone,oh and happy 4 th of July to all the Americans,I don't think I have ever said that before
I usually Fast on Mon. but off track with holiday long weekend. See you on this thread next Mon. Good luck all! :clover: :clover:
It's July 4th but I'm still fasting. With fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, I don't really want to waste my energy or my feed day on a boring parade and party when we're going to the mountains this week. Saving up for more fun starting wednesday So I'm chilling reading and drinking hibiscus iced tea.
I hope you enjoy your Fitbit @Queen56. I have had mine since December 2013 and still love it. There is a 5:2 Fitbit group 5:2fastdiet.co.uk forum users which you can join and see how everyone else is doing. if you pm me your email address I will send you an invitation to join.
Fast on the 4th of July. I'm in. It's almost over.
