Not a bad weekend food wise I thought but the scales showed differently this morning
So, today is my first fast of the week. I've prepared a small quinoa, roast vegetable and green leaves salad for lunch and will have a small piece of lamb rump with more green salad for dinner. Good luck fellow Monday fasters. Wendy
I'll be joining you when I have been to bed although, strictly speaking, it is already Monday here (12.16am) and my fast has already started!
:clover: Good luck to everyone fasting today! Onwards and downwards! :clover:
My first fast day! ! All good so far but not 10.00 am yet  yogurt and Apple to start the day, soup for lunch, steamed fish and salad for tea is the plan
Hi Monday fasters I'm in today for my regular Monday/Thursday fast. I always find Monday much easier than Thursday. Nothing but black tea and water til this evening then zucchini spaghetti with avocado pesto and cashew nut parmesan for dinner (I am undertaking a vegan challenge with my daughter for lent).
Happy fasting everybody!
Hi all,
Back again today for my two fasts Mon/Thurs.
I've done my swimming laps this morning in this never ending Sydney heat, lovely in the daytime but not so good for sleeping!
Just became really hungry so broke my normal pattern and had some yoghurt and strawberries, only 80 cal, and will have stir fry veges and a little steak for dinner.
Have a good day everyone.
Hi everyone!
I have had a successful Monday fast day too. Just finished dinner, and am about to have some sparkling water to deter me from venturing into the kitchen for something to nibble on!
Have a good fast to all those Northern Hemisphere folk just about to start their day.
sorry - my post went up twice. I hope someone can delete this for me please?
Thank You
Merry
I have decided to try ADF rather than 4:3 and Saturday was my first day. Only problem is I am out for a (very rare!) meal on Friday so Wednesday and Thursday will be B2B fast days. I am hoping ADF gives me a bit of a weight loss boost. I tend to eat to a 22:1/23:1 eating window on fast days with a singular evening meal. That being said I find I do need coffee (with a small amount of skimmed milk) and Diet Coke to get through fast days still. I am going to try and work on this but if it's what I need to get through fasting then so be it! 3 stones down so far!

Happy fasting peeps!
I'm here for my normal Monday fast. Today's weigh in seems to imply that not too much damage was done by my Finnish mini holiday but I'll see what the rest of the week brings. That 10 stone something is still being elusive. I've been to aquajog as usual but now waiting in for the plumber to ring as the boiler has sprung a leak! May have to get some thicker jumpers out later!
Hi everyone!!
I'm new to this forum, I've been doing 16/8 for just a minute. I love it.
I don't weigh yet, because I'm mortified at my gain. I will weigh when I can fit into this particular pair of jeans haha

I am adding in ONE 5/2 type fast to my normal 16/8. This is for the purpose of weight loss.
I'm nervous that I won't be able to do it, so I'm glad there is this thread.

I noticed that you plan your food for the day, that's smart. I will do that next Monday. Today, I'm thinking all the cream in my coffees will add up to the calorie allowance, idk.

Anyway, happy Monday everyone, and have a good fast day!!
I switched to 16:8 because I felt a 500 cal day was putting too much pressure on me emotionally, but I made it through the weekend without having a meltdown junk-food-wise (stuck to Whole30!), so I thought I would give a Monday fast a try. I'm only going to do one fast this week and stick to 16:8. My menu: a couple of Bahn Mi meatballs, spaghetti squash, Sunshine sauce (tonight) and coconut milk in my tea (this morning). I'm optimistic.
I'm in today; just past 2pm here, have had black coffee and pot o' green tea; broth about 4pm; probably a salad after work, then a stir fry for dinner 9pmish. I've found that establishing a routine and seldom varying it really helps me stick to my light days. I just notice when I feel a hunger pang and allow it to drift away, just saying, Oh, you can have broth in _____; or, you can have a salad at ________...that way, there's no argument going on in my head about when or what I can eat. Of course, keeping busy helps too!
