It's lunchtime here in South Australia so I'm surrounded by colleagues reheating their leftovers or bringing take away food back to their desk. :starving: But I'll be strong and just have my chicken stock cube and herbal tea until dinner at about 6:30pm today. Good luck everyone!
Lunchtime here in Sydney so off for a walk around the nearby oval which has the added bonus of a lovely harbour view! 27 degrees and sunny. My fellow workers have gone out for a colleague's birthday lunch so feeling very virtuous! Happy Monday fasting everybody.

Fasting in Brisbane too! I've been using those "La Zuppa" soups on fast days. Depending on which one you buy, they are about ~150 calories and will easily get you through to dinner.
Rather grey and very windy here in UK, but nevertheless I'm joining you!
Let's hope the scales start moving in the right direction - despite my best efforts, I seem to be gaining weight!
Have a good one folks!
I'm in today, second week of let's get back to target weight after a long break from proper fasting, funny how if your head is not in the right place it doesn't work no matter how hard you try (me all of last year!) and then suddenly one day something changes and everything starts working again!
I haven't actually planned my dinner, possibly soup or some kind of curry I think, I'll worry about that later, for now I'm going to throw myself into my work...
Good luck fellow fasters!
Yes it's vile here on the south coast UK too. Re Brisbane, I have had some of the best meals of my life there in the 1990s ....great for normal eating days! I've been 5:2 fasting since Jan 1st and still haven't lost any weight whatever but the 3" I lost in the first 3 weeks is still gone. Watched a whole lot of YouTube clips of 5:2 discussions and some"before and after" clips last night to steady my nerve and I feel up with the programme agsin. I think I am not losing because my BMI is normal anyway, so I should be happy I have changed shape and will lower my risks for the future. ....especially dementia. Didn't like the look of " fast exercise" though, are many of you doing it?
I'm in today! Looking forward to it although I expect it to be difficult. I wonder why? Instead of worrying I won't lose weight I am trying to focus on the good it does my body and how it makes me feel. Not forgetting the money it saves me in food lol!
Good luck everyone x
Good morning my lovely fellow fasters!

I'm with @nicky_94 today - back for my second week of fasting after a long break....

Am on my second cup of tea of the day and have just returned from a blustery & rainy walk here in un-sunny Somerset! I'm very conscious that there is a huge psychological element to weight loss. Many discussions go on in my head as to whether or not to fast, what to eat or not eat...and so on. This time around, my third brush with fasting, I have given myself permission not to be a slave to the scales - when it all comes down to it, the numbers don't actually matter if the tape measure records those inches being lost and clothes start to fit better - or joy of joys - become baggy!

I weighed in last Monday (aaaggghhhh!) and will weigh and measure on the first of each month to see how I'm doing. I suppose what I'm telling myself is that I'm back in it for the long haul, so there's no point in getting disheartened due to water retention and the fickleness of the dreaded scales. Either I'm committed or I'm not - in my mind, it's as simple as that...

Good luck everyone - hope the day goes well for you all (not to mention quickly!) xxx
I'm in today too, two cups of tea so far and just waiting for my minestrone soup for lunch,. Omelette later on, and plenty more hot drinks as it's so cold and windy here! Hoping for 2 good fasts this week to finish off the Valentines day challenge...

:clover: :clover: to all!
Monday so here I am again. The scales tell me I have put on 2lbs since yesterday  ! So much for breaking through the 11 stone barrier this week  . I know it can't be fat so just hang in there ..... I haven't been as active recently because of my injuries. I've done aquajog again this morning - mostly with one leg but hoping to get back to aqua aerobics on Wednesday . The weather is vile so I'm going to have a musical afternoon practicing ukulele and singing for various groups I belong to. Dinner tonight has not yet been decided.
