Fasting today, Monday 9 May
08 May 2016, 23:55
Good morning Monday fasters! I'm here as usual today for my first fast of the week. I had a simply lovely Mother's Day weekend with lots of lovely treats and am now looking forward to resetting my system with today's fast. Nothing but tea and water until this evening when I will have a veggie curry with chickpeas. May try to get to the gym this evening. I got a new Fitbit Alta for mother's day so I am keen to put it through its paces!

I'm in for 21 hours then it'll be something fishy and veggie.
This is the 2nd full fast in my trialling a daily routine:-
Day 1: soft boiled egg and small avocado and coffee with cream for breakfast, keeping the day carb low, protein medium, healthy fats.
Day 2: as Day 1
Day 3: 21 hour full fast then fish and veg dinner.
Day 4: gluten free porridge with milled flaxseed and pinch of salt with black coffee for breakfast, keeping the day carb medium, protein medium, lower healthy fats. Avoiding sugar and all it hides in is important.
Day 5: as Day 1 and then repeat sequence onward.
It seems to work to prevent constipation (a big fasting problem for me) and I'm 2lbs down after a week.
Have a good fast folks :0)

Hi all, me again. Returning to the fold after a few months off, Min got ill but 9 months on she is now recovering and smiling again. I've put on too much weight! my jeans are getting too tight for comfort! my butt is growing at a rapidly increasing speed! So I'm back fasting, I'm on a mission, not quite sure what my mission is but for now it's to get back fasting and stop wobbling!!

Hi All, started yesterday after lunch as usual so I can eat normally tonight. Had fish and green veg in coconut oil and herbs and spices and lots of lemon and lime water....when I went to bed was about to go to sleep when I suddenly felt ravenous and thought I'd have to get up and eat and start again today - but the next thing I knew it was 7am! Result! Also, having been 10 stone for months, down from 10:10 3 years ago (though inches have been lost), today I find after not weighing for a few weeks I am now 9:10. I am truly amazed.

What a different place this forum is these days. Mondays used to be a busy day, with standing room only in the fasting today thread. The mods don't even have very much to say these days. I've been trying to get my tracker reset since my return, pm's read with no reply, if it can't be reset for some reason that's fine but a few words in reply to say so would have been nice. Anyways, I've had another good day. Water all day, a few coffees (with milk) and a large salad this evening. I've been out on my bike today for an hour, loved it, now the weather is warming up I hope to do it more. I will have an apple later and I think an early night is in order.
How's everyone else doing today?
Welcome back @minsmum, you'll be back in the swing of things in no time. I've been back a month and already feel smaller, a few of my bumps have started to flatten out already hehe. Good luck and I'm glad min is on the mend, they know how to worry us don't they.
Well done on the loss @JLmid and getting to sleep with a rumbling tum :like:

I'm in today, having my green tea now. Made sure I got my berries, appropriate yogurt, and chickenless strips for later. Have found it's a very bad idea to try to decide what to eat last-minute on a light day...

Hi candicemarie, an eye fillet is fillet steak, the most tender and expensive meat,it might be referred to as something different in the uk,let me know
