In today! Hope everyone has had/is having a great day.

I'm thinking a nice, light Thai chicken soup for dinner. I can tell I'm getting to that time of the day when my productivity starts to wane in preference for fantasizing about what I'm going to make for dinner. :)

Good luck everyone!

Hello @Flic and welcome, it great to see a newbie doing so well. Was wondering if you might be able pop along to the introduce yourself forum and give our members a little bit info about you, like how your got here, and what you hope to gain(or lose) from intermittent fasting.
Thanks
You will receive a warm welcome

I´d be interested in any other vegans who are fasting. So I had some photos given to me of a recent riding clinic I attended and this has motivated me even further, my tummy is just so big!! So today is my first fast, and I plan on a huge plate of cauliflower tonight and an early night. Good to be back on here for motivation. X

This is exactly the post I was going to write - except for the vegan part & the horse part! Saw a pic of myself this past week that was very sobering. So comforting to come back & see familiar names & stories. Re-committing to Monday/Thursday & a 30 minute walk 4x/week. There, now it's in black & white, I have to follow through :geek:
Have a lovely day everyone, by this time, I bet many of you are finished already! Congrats on another successful fast.
In for my normal Monday fast as well. Next week will be out of sequence since next Monday is a holiday here in the US & I'm playing in a golf tournament & eating after. I'll have to adjust to Tuesday & Thursday next week.

Happy fasting everyone!
I'm in today as usual. Someone said they were "debating" about fasting today; I can't allow myself to do that...If I give my "mind" an inch, it'll take a mile--give a laundry list of reasons why today isn't a good day to fast.

Another example: I have recently begun going to a wonderful dance meetup on Saturday mornings. The trouble is, I hate getting up, especially on Saturdays! So, I've found that if I want to make it there, I must make up my mind that I'm going (or not, as I did when coming down with a cold and knew I needed the extra sleep) the night before...'cause if I leave it up to my "mind" in the morning, I'll turn over in bed and go back to sleep. Which I did a couple of times; then I was mad at myself all weekend. So, since I know that my mind will manufacture excuses like it's getting paid for them, I need to find ways to outsmart it.

@Caboodlez, I'm not vegan but am vegetarian...can't seem to give up the delicious cheese! But we can chat about the challenges of 5:2 without meat and fish...
Not the easiest Monday but I got through it. Perhaps it was the thought that OH was having an especially tasty rhubarb pudding, with flap-jack topping. Keeping mine for tomorrow.
I've been fasting today. My husband had a business lunch, so I didn't need to cook this evening. Unusually for me, I actually liked the idea of a salad for my evening meal, so that's what I had. I have also had a Tunnocks wafer and am just about to eat an orange and then later, just before bedtime, I will have a low-cal Belgian drinking chocolate. It will be just over 500 calories but what's a few calories extra between friends!
I hope that everyone else's fast has been successful and for those of you who are still part-way through your fast, I wish you an easy conclusion to your day! Good luck!
Hungry. Hungry hungry hungry.
Is it the cool gray weather or the fasting giving me a headache?
Soon I'll make a meatloaf of ground turkey (mince, as most of you would say) mixed with carrots and onion and bread crumbs. A slice of that with a salad will be my fast day dinner.
In the meantime, I guess I'll just go feel sorry for myself. :frown:

Welcome to the forum, Rieson! Congratulations on making it through your fast day :-)
I too was hungrier than usual for a light day, but I toughed it out and just had my afternoon broth (just past 5pm here) (had an extra--rebrewed--pot of green tea). Planning a nice big salad later tonight; have to run a couple of errands after work, may have a hardboiled egg if feeling like it then...
A job well done, everyone! Another fast day under our belts! :victory:
