Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.

Ok, first fast in a while and hoping to get through it without too many dramas. I'm already hungry, but I have armed myself with Marmite, pomegranate tea, apples, and celery slices. Plus a bullet proof coffee if things get tough.
Good luck anyone else in today.
Hi @debs, early start for you! Are you back from your cruise - sorry, haven't been keeping up to date. Yes I'm fasting today, hoping to make up for a difficult week. I've got a cold, and I'm intending to study today for an exam I have in less than a week, so I'm imagining lots of fruit teas today.

Good luck, Saturday fasters!
Oh no, poor you. Keep warm won't you? It is chilly up here too, I am on the pomegranate tea which is really nice but unfortunately the loos are outside!
Yep, back from cruise and back at work, so work and fasting to contend with, not good!
chilly in NW WA,@debs?? what temps are we talking here?? 13.5 at lunchtime in Melbourne. a bit better from URTI point of view, so taking step-doggie for a walk to avoid studying. Nice Lavazza long black coffee going down a treat atm
Let me see, 5 at 6am, now it's 12, so there you go!!!! There's a chilly wind blowing. I am assured there can be ice on windscreens and below zero temps. Obviously we have a continental climate here, an extreme one!
Good luck super satdAy fasters! Debs i love yr avatar! X
Cute eh?! What are you doing up at stupid o'clock @Candicemarie?!
Sun going down here and it is 9 degrees and I have just lashed and had a small piece of celery otherwise holding up but think that I will have dinner with the guys. Osso Bucco small serve over zucchini strips, it will be low carb. That will get me in with a respectable fast. Chuffed as initially had not planned to fast today

Hope everyone else holding up well
Well done gillymary, you have done better than me, I failed after having carrot and celery strips for lunch as I was ravenous, and then had a couple of handfuls of nuts, and am now hungry again. Ggrrr, oh well, I promised I would be kind on myself so I shall try again tomorrow and treat it as a 16:8 again.
All the best tomorrow @Debs 16:8 is still nothing to sneeze at. I have ceased the bullet coffees and now just have plain ones made from scratch. Still I am up against it lately with scales stubborn again.
You me both sister! I saw your post on Dr mercola and agree completely, unfortunately science and my body don't see eye to eye on most things, so I am trying to go my own way!!!
I figure if I wear the same clothes I am ahead, as all the bigger sized ones pre 5:2 have gone to new homes anyway. I fast when I can and eat when I feel the need. It's a kinda balance of sorts but up there for us for our persistence :like: :victory:
Too true and I don't even have the health benefits of low cholesterol and blood pressure!! Ah well, the alternatives are limited!
Maybe you are having health shifts which have not manifested yet. Must be a nuisance though?
Oh good luck Debs @Debs I do feel for you. I guess its pretty miserable at the moment after your lovely trip away. I'm in the same boat. I've just got back from a wonderful fortnight by the sea (I just want to live there!) and I've put on loads. However, I can feel myself getting back into the zone so come Monday (my first fast in weeks) all will be ok!

Not many of you fasting today but I certainly hope its a good one! Its so hot here today so hopefully you won't feel TOO hungry!

Did anyone else have a MASSIVE storm last night? I haven't encountered a storm like than since I was a child (not that long ago admittedly  )

Bean
