I'm throwing in an extra fast today because my last attempt overshot by 700 (although 600 under TDEE), and a good effort now will make up for that. Plan is to eat nothing until 2pm (another 4 hours....), then 100 cal mushrm n walnut burger in a Warburton's Thin, followed by 45g (raw weight) of orzo pasta with courgette, tomato, asparagus and mushroom, and goats cheese or parmesan if I have enough headroom, or garlic and chilli if not. It looks like I'm the only person mad enough to do this on a beautiful Saturday in August, but I don't mind: it's been difficult fitting 5:2 around visitors recently, and now they've gone I'm really looking forward to a successful fast (followed by a 5-10 mile walk tomorrow).
No you're not the only person fasting on a Saturday. I am in too. Recently I wrote that I was 5:2,ing again to maintain, because my weight crept up. I lost 1 kg, in a week so I was pleased. But I gained it back again so soon of 6:1. I end up 2.8 kgs over my target weight all the time. And my stomach and my breasts are so big, thought with a BMI of 20,5. Before, when I weighted this little I was thinner in those parts too......
So I am a bit fed up with this weight gain. I am now going to ADF (Alternate Day Fasting) to the end of the month and see if that gets rid of the extra fat. Not eating anything today untill a small snack at 15:00 (3 more hours to go) and then supper at 18:00. Hubby and I are having homemade sweet and sour pork. He will have rice with it, I will have steamed Kale... Hoping your good efforts will bring hoped for results, Wasfan.
I always admire the courageous folk who go for a Saturday fast! I think it takes a lot of steely determination to fast weekends so a big :like: to you! X
I fasted today, too. The first one since my trip. I don't mind weekend fasts.

I hope everyone has had a good day :-)
I've just about done my day. Courgetti with a can of macaroni cheese for dinner...419 cals and I'll have a banana for supper. About 525 for the day.
Got quite fussy headed around tea time...don't know why but seem to have survived.
I'm pleased with how today has gone, two meals @ around 600 total, and have only just started feeling ravenous at 10pm. Time to brush my teeth....! Feel properly back on track now. My next eating event will be three Wasa Rye crispbread for brekky (I have a whole cupboard of them), with a dairylea triangle and tomato puree, then Sunday lunch in a pub (with only one gw). Roll on 9am!
I've fasted today as well, my first since getting home from my holiday on Sunday. I needed that few days since then to recover from the jet lag but I was ready to fast today. I had a cold roast beef salad for dinner and have just had some sunflower and pumpkin seeds with soy for a snack. 488 calories total.

Weekend fasts don't bother me unless we have socialising planned.
I made it to 7pm so was a window of 22/2 but soon made up for it with dinner with hubby. Black Adder liquorice tea not a bad drop through the day
