Is anyone joining me today? Having had a week without fasting, while my daughter and two grandaughters were over here from Germany, I have decided that today would be an opportunity to fit in a fast before my usual weigh-in day tomorrow. It has been a very indulgent week and, with the end of the Summer Solstice Challenge only three weeks away, a fast is very much needed!

Good luck to anyone fasting today! :clover: Onwards and downwards!
I can't believe that I am the only one fasting today! Is there already a thread which I (and the Search facility) haven't found? It's very lonely in here and I am feeling abandoned! AND it's still three hours until it's time to eat!
I'm fasting today too. weird. 64.7 kg yesterday. 63.4 couple hours ago and now go to 63 kg. probably all of water but so happy. 1.7 kg is a good way. tommorow is my last fast day. can't wait for monday to have a bowl of noodle xD :victory:
Thank goodness, I'm not alone any more, @JollyBrielle!

Your initial weight loss will be down to losing water, not fat, but stick with it and soon the loss will be the real thing. The only thing to look out for is that some of that weight loss will go back on when you start eating 'normally' again, so don't get disheartened when than happens!

How long have you been 5:2-ing for? If you are fasting today and tomorrow that's pretty serious stuff! I have never done a back to back fast and wouldn't want to! I prefer to keep my body guessing by leaving time between fast days. I am at target but would like to lose a couple more pounds before going on holiday in three weeks time - just to give myself a little 'wiggle room'!

Hope the rest of your fast day goes well - and tomorrow, too, of course! :clover:
Ahh so sorry to see you two feisty fasters all by yourselves today!
Well done both of you x :like:
and good luck for tomorrow JB if you do a back to back! X :clover:
thanks both of you. this is the first time I try 5:2. I tried low carb before. lose like 7 kg but then got them back all because I can't follow the diet for tge rest of my life. I'm deadly in love with white rice. I know carbs are bad but then I will just reduce it on my feed day but I can still eat it with 5:2 xD. I think 2 days back to back is okay for me. I feel nothing on first day except the feeling numb on my feet and a bit tired. I saw on bbc, the journalist do back to back fast days too so I think it is fine. btw i need energy on other days for school so saturday and sunday are perfect for me. I will stay very strong because of my dress and being more healthy. and for so long i think i started to like a guy so time to change myself. anw hope things work well to both of you too. stay strong and live longer  :victory:
