Anyone else in today?
I'm going to be challenged as I have a friends birthday lunch to go to but I have to do it today as I'm away for the week on business from tomorrow and it will be almost impossible to try and fast whilst I'm away

I think a lot of Melburnians now get anxious when it's very hot due to the fire danger - don't know whether you remember we had bad fires 5 years ago and around 200 people lost their lives, not so far from the city fringe. Still very much in the collective psyche. Also. trains run hideously late and hot due to track warping, gardens die, no-one can sleep & thus everyone is grumpy. Five years ago it was so hot for such a long time just before the fires (43 celsius, then 44 the next day then 45 the day after, then 46 on black saturday), birds and possums were dropping dead out of the trees. And it's tough to exercise, unless you're indoors, the only time is about 5.30 am. Here endeth my rant. But suffice it to say, I'm not looking forward to this week, even with the privilege of a pool in my backyard. At least we don't have many water restrictions at the moment, so I can water my garden - that, plus exercise, is my early morning priority.
Hope your fasts are going well, for those still in Sunday!
