Am I really the first one on here? Where are all the folks out east?

Anyone else in today?

I'm going to be challenged as I have a friends birthday lunch to go to but I have to do it today as I'm away for the week on business from tomorrow and it will be almost impossible to try and fast whilst I'm away
I'm in for my usual Sunday jenni, so you're not alone. Not feeling good though, migraine headache along with the nausea. Had paracetamol, Berocca and rehydration salt to try and shift it and doing the coffee now. Hopefully it'll shift.
Good luck with the birthday lunch and fasting!

Hi Janeg and Jen, wishing you well. It's Sunday evening here across the western edge of the Pacific. Sipping white wine after a hot day. I'll be in tomorrow so we might all be fasting at the same time: you call it Sunday and I'll call it Monday. Time is weird, hey?
I will join you both today although I'd rather be with @sallyo right now. Sounds lovely. I feel like crap today too so I'm looking forward to a good fast. Not sure what to 'eat', in fact I might not even bother. Just lots of water and coffee.
Ooh yes, I'm in, but I'm nearly done! Sorry guys, been busy - bike ride, gardening & trying to get the pool ready for Tuesday - Saturday, when it's going to be 38-41 Celsius, heat coming down from the Pilbara they say - is that where you are, @debs?
Its not a planned fast day but after my big foodie day yesterday I listened to my body and ate nothing till I was hungry - 5.30 pm! So we are renovating and not cooking so we can get whatever takeaway we want ( helps the local economy and the more time I spend painting and Hubs spends tiling saves us $$$) - so what did I choose?? Sushi, prawns and salad!!! How healthy can you get! That's what I really wanted. This Woe is amazing!
Xxx julianna
I'm in today. I don't usually do Sundays but I've been having a hell of a time getting back into this WoE while at work (I'm a terrible grazer at work especially) so I thought I'd give today a go - if nothing else it will keep me off the chocolate mountain of christmas and birthday presents that loving friends and relatives bought me knowing I am a massive chocoholic - without knowing I would like to be less massive

Hubby is doing the tangle pie recipe from the hairy dieters book for dinner so I'm going to try just eating one meal with a couple of coffees to keep me going until then. I may still be a little over the 500 but not by much and at least I'll be back in the swing of it.

That's the plan anyway - it's only 11.40 and I'm struggling a bit, we shall see how it goes.
Hi Rawkaren, Janeg and Phoenix - hope your fasts are going well, it's probably midday for you no so you're well on your way.

I've just woken up and determined to give my body a food rest after throwing caution to the wind a bit yesterday. I find its always easier to fast after a day when you've eaten a little too much heavy food and you're belly isn't so happy with that

Way to go Juliana - sounds delicious!

Jools, I'm envious of the weather out where you are! Oh to have the warmth to be that active

Happy Sunday :-)

Thanks   ...

And id love to be sipping wine though I can have it tomorrow ... I don't think I can order the "hot day" specially; wouldn't if be nice if we could do that!
Hi all,

I'm in. Good luck all.

xx
I'm in today as usual for Sunday. Good news: didn't gain over Christmas; Bad news: weight is not budging (and I'm going on a cruise on Sat   ) That will be good for another 5 pounds gained,at least. I think my Valentine goal is way too ambitious but will keep trying.

Good luck everyone :clover:  :clover:
I had a small lapse to the tune of 2 toffees but if that's as bad as it gets I can live with it. Very much looking forward to dinner now though.
thanks, @jeninboston! I'm sure you find it difficult to believe, but there is such a thing as TOO BLOODY HOT - and we're going to hit it starting tomorrow. I think a lot of Melburnians now get anxious when it's very hot due to the fire danger - don't know whether you remember we had bad fires 5 years ago and around 200 people lost their lives, not so far from the city fringe. Still very much in the collective psyche. Also. trains run hideously late and hot due to track warping, gardens die, no-one can sleep & thus everyone is grumpy. Five years ago it was so hot for such a long time just before the fires (43 celsius, then 44 the next day then 45 the day after, then 46 on black saturday), birds and possums were dropping dead out of the trees. And it's tough to exercise, unless you're indoors, the only time is about 5.30 am. Here endeth my rant. But suffice it to say, I'm not looking forward to this week, even with the privilege of a pool in my backyard. At least we don't have many water restrictions at the moment, so I can water my garden - that, plus exercise, is my early morning priority.

Hope your fasts are going well, for those still in Sunday!

Jools, I can well believe it and I hadn't considered the risk of fire - that puts a different spin on it

Stay cool, and keeping my fingers crossed you don't get any water restrictions for the foreseeable future.

Fast is going rather well, I think I reached 600 calories today which isn't bad given a friends birthday brunch. I'm now beginning to get hungry but I'm planning to ignore it and go to sleep
well, despite the ?migraine, managed to get to 7pm without food. Then, as I was still feeling a bit grotty, had pea and mint soup, 2 cheese scones and butter and then some crisps and bread. So ate that within a 2 hour window and got the benefit of the fasting and probably some calorie restriction. Still totally wiped and went to bed again. So I'll count it as 22:2 and say it is successful! :)
