Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.

Don't suppose there will be too many fasting today??
I am fasting today instead of tomorrow, before I head off to Adelaide for a week.
So much cooler today, will keep myself busy in the garden.

yay, Sassy1, you beat me to it - yes I'm fasting today! Wonderful weather isn't it - just about to go out for a ride - well, after I change my flat tyre, probably due to having my poor bike in the back of my car during all that ridiculous heat! I did a 20:4 yesterday, it was my darling eldest son's 23rd birthday, so had a wonderful indian dinner, but had to bring some home, as I really can't eat that much after fasting all day any more - a good thing I think!

Great day for a cycle, @jools7! Do you have somewhere scenic to travel thru?
And leftover Indian - will you be able to resist it today??!
I have just popped in from the garden for a cup of black coffee to help me keep going.

well, my two favourite routes are down Dandenong creek through the back of Jell's park down past the state volleyball centre, and down the eastern freeway to Burke Rd bridge, then back up the river to Westerfolds park - both a little over 30 km, which is probably about as far as I should go on a fast day - any further tends to make me hit the wall a bit.

And the leftover goan fish curry is safely wrapped up in a bag in the fridge till tomorrow!

Today for me as usual. Made the bad mistake of weighing this morning and really really wish I hadn't. The measurements are ok so it's not all doom and gloom, but I wish I could go back in time and erase what I saw :( :( :(
Thanks @catamo! Hope your fast goes well tomorrow :) I am now inside - enough gardening for me today on an empty stomach, tho I did have a miso soup early afternoon...

@janeg, your message about weighing was a bit cryptic for me to follow! Was your weight not as low as you expected, or was it a slight gain?? Whatever, I understand your annoyance! :( Trust your fast day goes well for you. :)

Not too long til I can make my evening meal, and am having yet another fruit tea to try to help me delay that as long as possible!
I didn't quite understand it either - but now, @janeg, remember that you have started exercising, your muscles will be retaining fluid in order to repair themselves and grow for the next HIT, and you will be replacing the glycogen you used, along with 4 times its weight in water - so please don't despair! It will all come out in the wash eventually!

I weighed for the first time this year - weigh monthly- and have increased substantially. Why does it go on so much quicker than coming off. (i average 100g a week :( )
I know that exercising will increase but not by the amount I've added and in only 2 days! WAILLLLL!!!!!!
It's Christmas cake and marzipan although I don't feel as though I've been overeating that much! :( And I've done 7 fasts this january ...
oh well, just need to get on with it
but on a real downer along with everything else

I'm joining you today - ate rather a lot yesterday but feel pretty hungry this morning!
I haven't weighed myself for a while - don't know if I dare weigh myself later after janeg's experience (it probably is new muscle try not to get too down hearted).

half/semi fast will do the usual 24 hrs then evening meal including wine + extras knowing I will be inside my TDEE hoping this with 2 x fasts in week will put me back on track.

Sunday is my one of my three fast days....hippeeeee! I find this one the easiest, don't know why though!

Me too!

Its a long haul at the moment... I think I've hit another plateau..

Yesterdays buscuits won't have helped.

I wan to get under 12 stone and also stop eating!! :cry:
I'm going to try eating later today, to see if that works better.
