I'm in too. I usually do Tues and Friday but January has been different. This is only my 5th fast of the month. I may do 3 times a week for a few weeks.

Judithn, I feel for you. We are taking a Windjammer the first week of March for 6 nights plus a couple days in transit. I've been nervous about gaining. I went on one for two weeks several years back and gained over 10 lbs that I never lost. Hopefully 5:2 will let you lose it quickly. I see you managed to travel when the weather was moderate and came back for the second round of the Polar Vortex! :cry:

I'm planning on a big salad with some chicken in it later. Lots of low cal veg and a yogurt based dressing.
Don't worry@JM53, this is such an amazing and forgiving WOL.
I was on a 2 week African holiday and came back in early Dec. five pounds heavier (less food, less booze and more exercise than a cruise :grin: ). I managed to lose it plus another 4 pounds by my departure date Jan 17. And that included the whole holiday season in between :victory: .

The key, I think, is this forum which is reflected in another thread today. There is so much support and info that you will be right back on track when you get back.
I am sooo glad for a 500 cal, pina colada-free day. And you will be too.
So keep on, enjoy your holiday when it comes, and just come back here to repair the damage. And happy fast day today :smile:
Thanks for the support. I agree this forum is is very good. I had been off for a few weeks. I started checking in more lately and it motivated me to stop laying around watching TV and getting back into exercise videos. I also found a water aerobics class at a community center. I've been essentially the same weight for months now. Hopefully the extra activity and a couple extra fasts can get me losing again.
