In again for my <1000 cal maintenance 'fast'. Long weekend here, hot already 22C and only 9 am (well 8 am really as daylight saving kicked in last night) and heading to 34C. Best get the boys to the beach for walkies and then come back and hang by the pool methinks. I need to restrict cals today, because yesterday became an eat all you want day. And tomorrow is friends for lunch, so that will be high cal, Eggplant Parmagiana, zucchini frittata w lemon Greek yoghurt, salad, lemon delicious puddin'. Good luck anyone fasting.
Morning!
I'm not in today for a change. Changing to Mon, Wed and Fri this week.
Holiday here today too- Eid Al Adha, so the day off.
Enjoy your 1000cal fast @GMH- lunch tomorrow sounds very yummy!
Good lucj to anyone else in today - I'll miss y'all
Stunning day here, been lazing about, walk on beach, swimming, nice. I have 200 cals left for a snack later or a cup o tea or hot choc or all 3. Maybe some tomorrowers joining me later?
I'm in with you GMH :like: I'm doing a double fast back to back
In today because I failed utterly yesterday.
The chicken is marinating ready for a stir fry later. I'm taking my mind off food by being in my shed (getting frustrated trying to figure out how to make something).
I'm fasting today. It might actually kill me as I have a stonking hangover :curse: :dazed:
I've just come home from picking the kids up and taking my son to rugby to find OH has had a curing fry-up and I accidentally ate a leftover hash brown and a piece of toast with butter. Hope this hasn't killed my fast...
Its horrid when that happens, you walk in and go, oooh, look a piece of bread and butter, nom nom and before you remember its a fast day its down the hatch. Thats what happened to me yesterday. A cheese and pickle sandwich was plonked in front of me whilst I was discussing a fairly serious subject with hubby and I just automatically started eating it. It was VERY tasty though, bakery bread and real butter, strong cheese and Branston.
I'm in today. Just got back from my brothers where they were all tucking into sausage and onion sandwiches on freshly baked bread!......stuck with my black coffee... My stomach is howling!

You could reckon up the cals ...
Maybe 300 out of yr 500..? i reckon must be somewhere round that, depending on slice bread ( 100 cals normal size piece)
10g butter is 80...
Not sure of the hash..just googled and there's 150 in a 56 g hashbrown..
That wd be total of 330,leaving 170 cals...a massive bowl of veggies for dinner?
Wd keep you within allowance..however i believe the occasional fast of 700- ish cals is still a fast,so you could have a dindins of 370 cals and still say its a fast day x
I am in today too. Out for dinner last pm but I don't think it did too much damage. Tomorrow is weigh-in day for the Christmas challenge.. as per usual, I GAINED weight after declaring my starting weight so will be lucky to still be at the Start line tomorrow . :frown:
Good luck today, fellow fasters :clover:
Here I am, fasting today, Sunday, and probably the last one to check in since I'm over toward the western side of the US and most of you fasters have already put your fast to bed for the day!

I woke up really grumpy and concerned that I wouldn't be able make it through the day without eating and eating, but I went outside to clean up my garden and it is such a beautiful and warm day that before long my spirits were up in spite of myself! And I was motivated to think about how much easier the work will be when I have lost twenty or thirty pounds. Hope everyone had a successful day!

I totted it up earlier and, along with the two fresh onion rings I also accidentally ate, it came to approx 400 cals. I didn't have any dinner at all but I've had quite a few cups of tea (milk, no sugar) so I think I'm OK, just. I aim for 400 cals rather than 500 as I'm only 4'10" and 9 1/2 stone so my normal recommended calorie intake is well below the average of 2000, much closer to 1600 sadly which is how I got overweight in the first place!!
Hope you've all had good fast days, can't wait for breakfast in the morning!!
Well I survived with a bit over on the dinner calories. It was the noodles, the chicken stir fry would have been well under but the noodles pushed it over. I'm still classing it as a suceesful fast as it was only 650kcals and my allowance is just over 600.
