Fasting today, Sunday 6 March
05 Mar 2016, 22:33
Ok, so I decided to fast again today. Yesterday wasn't a good day and I think I know why... :curse:
Wish me luck...
Wishing you strength and luck! I hope your fast day is going well @Justme67. I will be joining in on Monday for a fast day.
Thanks MerryMelb!
Up till now I am doing well... getting a bit hungry now. I need to drink more!
Might have some broth later.
Hi @justme67 I'm in - just tried to post but it seems to have been lost in space! Good to know there's another Sunday faster out there. Love your footer message - I've been doing too much 'finding' weight, got to get a grip now. 4 hrs till my little lunch!

Good luck for the rest of the day.
I'm back!
It has been 10 months since I last posted and have not been doing 5:2 for most of that time. In May 2015, I went off to Spain and walked the Camino Frances (approx. 800 km over 6 weeks) When I finished I was in the best physical shape of my life and although I didn't lose any weight :curse: , I came back with the resolve to continue with physical activity. I took up running and have done a 5K and last Oct, a 10k. Continuing with the running has been challenging in this Canadian winter but trying to get to the gym a couple of times per week.

I have been maintaining my weight since my return last June, 5-7 pounds over my goal but still in "normal" BMI. But the scales had been creeping upward lately and I have just returned from a cruise 5 pounds heavier. "No surprise" you say but those 5 put me officially back in overweight  . I swore I would never let that happen again but here I am staring reality in the face.

I have been lurking here more or less continuously, although not following 5:2 per se. But I lost the weight with 5:2 after wasting a lot of money on WW and I have kept it off. And this has always been such a supportive community. So back on "classic" 5:2 starting today. I always was a Sun/Wed faster and tended to leave the majority of the calories for a decent early dinner. Will see how it goes. I have to turn this around before it gets completely out of control.

Good luck, fellow fasters. Tea and miso soup coming up :like: . So glad to be back :victory: :clover:  :clover:

Thanks for sharing your experience@judithn. It was very educational and motivational. It helps a lot!
@ WarriorPrincess
Thanks! It went ok yesterday. I am always glad when my fasting day is over… ;-)
Hope you are doing well!
It’s Sunday for me this time, I have to vary my fasting days, since my partner is working shift and his working days are changing all the time. So I fast whenever I can and I don’t have to cook a decent meal.

@ Judithn
Welcome back. I am fairly new here.
Why is it so easy to put one weight and so hard to get rid of it? It’s simply not fair…
I need to go walking again urgently… I do Nordic Walking.
And I think I need to watch my food on non-fasting days a bit better... sigh.
Good luck with everything!
