I can't see a thread already started - nor does there appear to be a Saturday fasting thread??

I decided to fast today, as I have not had a fast since Wednesday, and I won't have the opportunity to fast again til next Saturday. I sort of felt liked fasting after 3 days of exceeding my TDEE each time by several hundred calories. Mainly sugary carbs and - would you believe it - white bread!! (I almost never have this anymore, but my mother requested it, and it is the only bread in the house. And I really fancied a cheese sandwich.)

I know there are some people who do fast on the weekend. If you are, hope it is going okay. :) :clover:

NB I am suppose to be having a period of not-fasting but sticking to no more than my TDEE each day. But when I consistently go significantly over my TDEE, I need to fast to avoid putting on weight. (Goodness knows when I will actually be able to shed the holiday excess once and for all...)
I'm in.
Hoping to get my groove back as 'life' should be returning to 'normal'.
I've been sort of fasting- mostly managing all day and then eating a norma sized meal at night so light days instead of fast days.
Aiming for the nothing to eat all day and then the usual two poached eggs on two slices of toast for dinner. Then the kitchen is SHUT! Nothing else until breakfast.
Think it is going to be quite tough- feels as though I am out of practice!
Hope your's is going ok @Sassy1 and anyone else in today.
*rumbling tummy*
I'm in today. I quiet enjoy fasting on the weekend, especially as I'm working the late shift today which will keep me busy and my mind off food. Good luck fellow fasters x
I am doing okay, thanks @janeg. Had chicken salad for dinner ... And a smallish portion of bubble and squeak...!!! (mum requested, and I couldn't resist...). Plus a few strawberries and cottage cheese. Might be a little over 500 cals, but that is fine. Now just have to get through the rest of the evening, more black coffee I think!! (Not sure I could manage with just poached eggs on toast, so admire you for that. :) Good luck for getting back in the groove. :clover: )

Best wishes all :D
I' m in today.good luck all! X x :like: :clover:
I'm here too for the first of 3 fasts this week, having decided to get on with 4:3. I'm good at two fast days and this might push me into losing the last bit to goal! Good luck everyone! :clover:
I'm switching into the Sunday part of my Monday regular 4:3 now :) :clover: to my fellow fasters.
I have to report that i' m rather pleased with myself!
My DD and SIL called bringing fresh cream cakes and hot cross buns.,little realising that i was fasting as i usually do Monday not Sunday!
They didnt want to eat them up or take them home,so after they left, i invited some neighbours in for a cuppa and a cake. Not a crumb crossed my lips! The buns went into the freezer and a neighbour took home the left over cake except for one i' ll have tomorrow with a cuppa!
I must say the good feeling of not breaking my fast will last longer than the few seconds it would have taken me to finish a cream cake or two..and i still have an intact 500 cals to enjoy for my dindins X :like:
@CandiceMarie I am so impressed that you resisted the cake and buns!!! Congratulations. I would have caved and not a piece would be left over for tomorrow.
I've decided to fast today since it is already 4:30 and I haven't eaten a thing because I am not the least bit hungry. I usually fast Mondays and Fridays but doing this today means I may be able to have a small piece of cake at my friend's tomorrow afternoon. We'll see how long I can last before being hungry. I have a hard time recognizing hunger on a non-fast day and tend to start and keep eating because I can. Crazy making but I do it, so today will be an experiment. I won't eat a thing unless my stomach is empty and I can tell or if my blood sugar tanks and I get shaky. I wonder if I can make it to bed time without wanting to eat?
Good luck to all fellow fasters! Enjoy the day/evening, wherever you are. I may go for another walk now in the best weather we've had all winter, sunny and mild enough to melt the snow! Take care, :clover:
