Fasting today Sunday August 4th
04 Aug 2013, 02:50
Hello out there?
I don't usually fast on Sundays but was able to squeeze one in today.
I really didn't want to miss a fast and I have a dinner out tomorrow night so here I am.
I'm not at all hungry yet but know come 3pmish I'll have some pangs- might have some strawberries then and have a nice early dinner of veges and a poached egg.
Have a good day everyone.
Yes I'm here gigi, 1.30 and i am a bit hungry - had soup and an apple, tea and coffee. Such a stunning day, just lying about out the back on my day bed, looking at the pool and wondering how long before I can swim in it - maybe by the end of August it will be warm enough. Yes I know you swim every day but just like I had the fear of fasting & starving, I have the fear of freezing LOL
Hi GMH- yes, well I'm a bit hungry now too!
I actually only swim twice a week, and I just stand on the blocks and go. My friend goes down the steps but I'd never make it in once I'd felt the water!
Hellohello!

I don't usually fast on sundays either, gigi55, but I missed one this week so here I am :)

Frustratingly gaining/losing the same 3 pounds at the moment every time I jump on the scales, but I have recently started exercising again and had TOTM so perhaps part of the fluctuation is water retention. Fingers crossed, anyway. Only 3lbs off my next goal so if I can shift off this plateau then I'll be very chuffed!

Got a weightwatchers ready meal waiting patiently in the fridge for me after my shift at work and apart from that it's water and tea. Good luck everyone! Have a nice day :)
I'm in. I find Sunday quite a good day for me. Last week I discovered that not eating all day and looking forward to a proper meal in the evening worked best for me. That way I avoid evening grumps and hunger pangs. I hope it works well again today!
Good luck everyone.
Just a maintenance fast for me - like Ballerina's 16:8, nothing to eat till after 12:00 but no restriction on calories. Put on 3 ounces last month but still under target so I guess it is working... Good luck to all you proper fasters out there!
I'm in too. Find fast days easy to get through now but would love to be on 1 a week maintenance  as am getting a bit bored on these days now
Well I went a bit over my 500 cals. Just a combo of at goal weight and disorganised. Ah well...I'll be a good girl this week...I hope ;>)
Hi I'm in but it will probably be a sort of semifast today :like:
Good Luck :clover: Sue
Well, glad that's done.
Good luck to those in mid-fast.
Off to bed to read my book.
I'm iffy about doing a full fast today. I'm on a 2:1 fast (every third day is a fast)but last night and this morning I'm really not wanting to do this. I've reached lunch time on water and one mug of tea with milk. Maybe I need to shuffle my routine a bit, ease down to a proper 5:2 for a while? Upping it to 4:3, though I don't fancy adding in any more days as one week in 3 is already a 4:3 due to the way a 3 day cycle works.

I have been seriously thinking of going liquid only as I really suffer with cravings once I've eaten. Even not eating till a late dinner doesn't stop me wanting more food. I don't think I will try that today, not with the mood I'm in. It may even be the weather, its miserable outside, heavy rain, dark and gloomy. I think I will go and hide in my shed and try and make 'stuff'.
I'm fasting today but I have to admit to finding it a bit difficult. I think I'm going to have to up my fluid intake to try and settle the hunger pangs.

Good luck to my fellow fasters
Fast day for me, in the USA. Its just 8:45 am so I have the whole day ahead. But my last fast day, I did it a bit different and I think I like that idea better, in not eating all day, and saving my 500 for a nice evening dinner. Im making a Quorn bolognese, served over julienne peeled ( to look like noodles) zucchini, hope its good, as I had to drive 40 miles to find the Quorn grounds.

Have a good fast day all, hope the fast day goes fastttttttttttttt! :)
Phew! I survived and on only 340kcals too. Muscle soreness with the subsequent fluid retention have meant not weight loss on weigh in, but at least I know and understand the causes now.
