Fasting today Sunday July 21st
21 Jul 2013, 05:55
Well my day is drawing to a close, but I guess some of u northern hemispherians will be fasting soon? I love Sunday fast, it is my easiest by far as I get up 3 hours later than work days, I am at home getting stuff done around the house - or looking at stuff and thinking I need to do it  I have all the food/drinks I need at my disposal in an easy manner, unlike work days where I am mobile. The day seems to go quickly. Beautiful winters day here, cool & sunny not a cloud in the sky - perfect for beach walk. So far I have had 'souper' 70 cals, an apple 70 cals, 8 cal hot choc and coffee, 100 ml milk for the day 60 cals, so a good amount of cals left for curried veg dinner (100 cals) and some space for maybe a choc fudge mini protein bar if I'm hungry later.

I am going to go back to 4:3 this week to see if I can get that last 1.5kg moving. Fri & Sat were calorie laden, so my plan is to Fast Sun/Tues/Thurs, Mon & Wed be 'good'...no wine, no eating cakes. I have actually found that if I eat a good bfst on feed days I am not hungry for hours. I had been cutting down on bfst, after being influenced by reading some posts about bfst NOT being important to some people. Well it makes the world of difference to me, I have discovered, so a big bowl of pink lady & flame raisin porridge with Greek Yoghurt (400 cals)@ 5.30am, a cappuccino mid morning, small lunch about 11.30-12 and then another coffee when I get home and I'm good till dinner.

Anyway I am happy fasting, my biggest problem is eating the food in the fridge before it goes off! Happy fasting to all
Yes I'm fasting today, had a mini blowout Fri got myself in a mess after doing a post, can't blame it on hormones so don't know where it came from but won't leave me completely, yesterday I did ok food wise but I'm on 4:3 so need to do Mon+Tue then probably Thu  so Good Luck to all of us fasting today  Sue
Greetings from Orlando Florida, USA!

Well its Sunday and another FAST day rolls around for me. This is my #4 fast. It has not been too bad really, just seems they DO come around pretty quick ;), have others found this. The 2 or 3 feast days seem to pass very fast, and before I seem to blink I wake up and its Sunday or Thursday, my 2 chosen fast days. I have decided to think of my FAST days, as For Acceptable STats days, more of an incentive for me, than fast as in fasting, as we are not really fasting, just consuming much less than normal. Anyway, thats my story and Im sticking with it. :geek:

OH! and here is some good news Im down about half a stone (for the overwhelming UK population here), or about 7 pounds for the rest of the word. I KNOW this is my early bump and dont expect to lose at that rate for the long run, but for now, Im pretty happy with it, and plan to keep at this. And I have a LOT to lose, over 100 pounds.

OK, off to watch the clock, wait a long as I can for my yougurt and blueberries, then watch the clock, get some things done, wait as long as I can for my huge bowl of rabbit food, with a few oz of chicken, some rice vinegar and a touch of olive oil, do a few more things, watch my Sunday TV shows. then have my apple with some yougurt and PB2 dip.

BTW, do any of you know or or use PB2? its good stuff, its Peanut Butter powder, peanuts with all the oil extracted out, leaving just the tasty peanut butter powder that you can mix with water for a zero fat peanut butter, or mix into drinks, or yougurt.

OK off I go to work on my day

Have a good FAST day to all!

Diane
Hello fellow "sunday fasters"...

My first fasting day since may last Thursday went well and the second one today is not bad either. At least until now... (fingers crossed).

I plan to experiment with a "liquid fast day" by having just one or two protein shakes later in the afternoon and evening. We'll see whether that's a good idea. :victory:

Have a good FAST day!
Me too.....had a great BBQ last night with too much of everything :frown:
Well I am very pleased to say I made it through today as an unplanned fast day. I wasn't going to do it. I am in Taiwan on holidays with kids while they do a Chinese language course and managed to do one fast day on Tuesday. It is tough as I am on holidays and Taiwan food options are amazing. Had a mini-break to a theme park resort this weekend outside Taipei and wasn't planning to fast. But that would have been first week since starting when I didn't get at least 2 fast days in. So very glad on a whim I decided to go for it. Made it through on nothing (despite breakfast buffet included in room rate) till we flew back to Taipei this evening and then popped out to a TGI Fridays nearby and had oriental salad with citrus dressing and half a grilled chicken beast. Had to forgo the Chardonnay my hubbie had and the corn chips they served while we waited for our meal (which was tough). Even left half the chicken breast as was concerned that would push me over 500 calories. But now feel very good and happy I have stuck to 2 proper fast days this week. But boy am I looking forward to a Chardonnay tomorrow! Night all.
You did great, TiareMaori! Enjoy your wine tomorrow. ;)
How is your Sunday fast going, fellow fasters?

For me I have had 1/4 cup cottage cheese on a slice of whole wheat toast, and coffee with a bit of fat free creamer. It's 3:45 pm in my part of the world and in at 170 calories, have a cup of cauliflower soup calling me soon, 50 calories, then later my big green salad with a few oz of chicken, rice vinegar and a spritz of olive oil. That will be 150 calories, getting my total to 370 cals, then around 10 pm my apple with some peanut butter dip made with yogurt and pb2, that will be my last 130cals, bringing me right at about 500, then to bed, and wake up to a day of normal eating.

How are others doing, and what are you eating?
Hi, dianehelen just come on board so have not got a clue what time of day it is with you..I love your posts!! Think we started about the same time..I dont have a massive amount to lose, gained from stopping smoking 7 months now..So I gained 1 & Half stones..However while battling with weight gain I am also battling with no ciggies!!! Doe's it make any difference hav'nt a clue.. Just thought I would mention it..Lots of Luck & Enjoy..xx
Leonie, congrats on the quitting ciggies, that's a tough one. Add dieting to that and Ya you have your work cut out for you. All the best.

I wont start eating tomorrow till about 10 or 11 am, for now seems to be working for me, curious to see how I fare on this long term

Its now 5pm Sunday for me, where are you located and what time is it. So interesting to be on such a world wide international forum :-)
