I think I may be a glutton for punishment, trying to fast on a weekend with the hubby home AND an assignment to finish for uni. But since this will be my first fast since getting back from holidays, it's now or never.
You just go there girl, all the best for your fast
Hi MelbMandy
I am fasting with you today, and I am sure there will be others for 'company' too!
Hopefully concentrating on the assignment, using black coffee and teas to keep you going, might actually help?
And getting back into the routine after hols is good too :D
I decided to fast today, not normal day either, as we went out for dinner last night and I probably consumed 2 days worth of TDEE. But I wasn't counting, I just enjoyed :D
Happy fasting!

Thanks Sassy! I'm already onto my 4th cup of green tea and feeling good about it. It also helps that I've actually told the hubby that I'm fasting.

But damn, that toast he had for breakfast smelt good!

Happy fasting to you too :like:
Hi MelbMandy,
Glad it's going well :)
May it continue!
Cheers :D
PS I'm lucky that my hubby sticks to cereal!
I'm also fasting today, my second day in a row (talk about a glutton for punishment). I have to say, I savored every bite of my soft-boiled egg for breakfast today. I suspect today will be hard (my first attempt at two in a row), but so far, so good...

Just curious - why are you doing 2 in a row? Just to get them out of the way?

I don't know if I could do it - even when I try only having one day in between, my body gets so ridiculously hungry that I struggle.

But here's to an easy fast! :like:
I ended up skipping a fast day on Friday, and I have a party on Monday and a dinner planned on Tuesday. I do 4:3, and the past month has been a mess--I've been slacking a bit, and am in a bit of a rut, weight loss-wise. I seem to be breaking through that (fingers crossed) and I didn't want to mess it up by having too many non-fast days in a row, especially with so much feasting involved!

I would never have attempted this in the first few months of this WOE. In fact, it's my first time in about 7 months! I'm not entirely convinced it will go well!
I'm not joining in today but wanted to drop in and wish everyone well. Brave womanMaryann doing two in a row! An stood luck melbmandy and sassy.
I've been invited to corporate hospitality at the F1 final which is a lovely gesture and totally wasted on me, but I will tholl it! ;)
I'll switch and do my three days on mon we'd and fri for a change and that takes in a weekend day
I will survive!
Have a good day everyone :clover:

How're you going @MaryAnn? I've managed to get to 4:30 okay with a cup of broccoli and sweet potato soup (about 160 cals) and a carrot - I'm hanging out for my dinner of tuna salad though!
Doesn't look like many of us fasting today - Sunday not a popular day I expect!
I guess there will be some of our northern hemisphere colleagues starting soon tho.
All my food for the day has been consumed, now just have to get thru the evening...
Think I may have exceeded my fast day allowance... I have had a number of fast days this week, and I am a bit over them :(
Time to return to 5:2 I think, and just be v careful on my non-fast days til I have got past the wearing of the tight fitting dress in 3 weeks...
I am in awe of those of you who do 4:3 or ADF all the time :D
Northern hemisphere European colleague checking in! 2nd fast of the week for me and definitely need it after yesterday - grazed all flipping day on rubbish. Then told myself not to worry because there was a nice portion of healthy pumpkin soup in the fridge.

Well, soup is still in the fridge, but the freezer is missing a whole pizza and the bottle of wine is down by half. Whoops.

Fasting power to all Sexy Sunday Fasters! Xxx
I'm in too! Sunday isn't a typical fast day for me, but looks to be the only way I'll get two in this week, so it has to be done!
MaryAnn, I've done consecutive days twice now, the first time was hard, and the second time easy, no idea why it was like that, but hope doing OK.
MelbMandy, you are going to feel so proud of yourself tonight! Hope the assignment is going well.
Hmmmm, couldn't find a thread for this today. Does this mean I'm on my own today? Have decided to fast today as I have a bit of a poorly tum and I'm not hungry.
Ooops, just found it. Sorry have created a new thread. I'm in today!
