Good morning everyone. I am fasting today. It is my first Sunday fast. We are going to Hobart tonight and I don't want to be fasting while I am out for lunch with my son's family tomorrow. I am going to for a walk in 20 minutes with my friends from down the road. We are walking to the Scout Hall, about 9kms return. OH has found a clip of 'I can see clearly now, the rain has gone' and is playing it loudly on his i-pad. It's true. The sun is out; the sky is blue;but the grass is wet! My plan is to have a late lunch/dinner before I go to Meeting for Worship at 4pm. Then we can get away to Hobart by 6 pm. It's a 4 hour drive. I think it's a fish soup. Is there anyone else fasting today? I think it's going to be a quiet thread.
Hello Sallyo

That is a great plan, enjoy the walk with your friends.

Happy Fasting and have a terrific day with your family tomorrow.

The sun is out here as well, it will be a gorgeous autumn day here in Melbourne.

cheers
Maggie
As I thought: very quiet, very different from a Monday thread! Thanks Maggie . I am home from a great walk and I'm feeling REALLY hungry at 1 pm. I'm going to hang in, mindfully removing the old tomato plants and getting the bed ready for snow peas until 2 pm when I will have minestrone before going out. No miso soup today .
Oh enjoy your walk @Sallyo or rather I hope you enjoyed your walk. I'm sure you must have done it by now!

I am in desperate need of a fast today. I was very naughty on Friday and just comfort ate throughout my 'fast day'. Yesterday I went to a wedding and had lots of wine!

Bring on the fast!

Bean :starving:
Giod luck you guys specially@Sallyo with her first Sunday fast
I dont t hink ive yet dipped my toes into sundayfasting as far as i can recall, and i think youre all very plucky! X
Sunday is my least favourite day of the week, so I don't mind fasting

Bean
I'm in too. Ate waaaaaayyyyyyyyyy more than is feasible yesterday while we were out playing so need nothing until 7pm today.
I don't mind Sunday fasting, but then being retired it's all one long weekend to me!
Good luck everyone :0)
I am in today after REALLY overdoing it the past 2 days. Ate way too many white carbs (bread and crackers with cheese and pates) and have gained 4 pounds!! I know much is water weight from the salt and carbs but really :frown: . Looking forward to a liquids only fast day.
Hello happy Sunday fasters (few but determined)
I will join too. Had way too much yesterday - and sugar, ewwww. Of course the scale rockets up immediately, even if we know it's water and *ahem* "waste that has not yet left your body", it's annoying!
I am now in Hobart. I managed pretty well, following that really hungry patch around 1pm. Had a big bowl of hearty minestrone and then nothing until a latte on the road, at the half way point. All up it may have come to more than 500 calories, but near enough. Now I am free to eat my way around the city for the next 3 days. Great. Well done, all Sunday fasters.
I'm fasting today instead of my usual Monday because we are going on vacation for a week and I won't be fasting then. So I will fast today and Tuesday to get in an extra fast this week, and then I will do an extra fast when we get back so I'll still have the same number of fasts.
Happy Hollybobs @Peebles X!
Hi,

I'm new to the forum and today was my very first fast day so I thought this thread would be the ideal place for my first post.
I decided to try the 5:2 diet for a number of reasons and have been reading up on it for the last few weeks to make sure that I've got enough information and have time to plan my fast days properly. I've decided on Sundays and Tuesdays but will see how it works for me.
I would really appreciate any advice you could give.
