I'm here never fear. Had a super busy day at work and didn't get on here til now. Just had dinner of scrambled eggs, avocado, tomatoes and smoked salmon. Really fancy something sweet now so will have a peppermint and liquorice tea to satisfy that need. Happy Thursday fasting northern hemisphere friends!
Hi there @Pilchards! Wow! I LOVE the sound of your meal today. I imagine avocados are high in calories are they? Mmm that does sound delish though. I may have to try that on Tuesday. Today I'm having a kids' cottage pie which is about 200+ cals!
Strange to think your day is nearly over - and our starvation has just begun!! :starving:
Hope you have a great fast Candy! @Candicemarie Where's our friend Oatesy today? @carieoates? aren't you joining us?!!
Bean
Hi all! I am in today too for my second fast of the week - rather late like @Pilchards. Just finished my veggie schnitzel and vegetables, and now finishing off with an apple and ricotta. I chop the apple up and microwave it just with a dash of water in a small bowl for about 3 mins, and then sprinkle with cinnamon and a tablespoon of ricotta as the "cream". I did the same last fast day with a pear, sprinkled with dried ginger. Quick and warming and satisfies the sweet urge.
Good luck @Nursebean and all the northern hemisphere fasters today.
Good to see you back fasting today Merry! Sounds an intriguing meal you made there. Makes my chicken salad look a bit dull - hey ho! There's always tomorrow!!
Hello, I'm fasting today. Going to keep myself busy in the garden this afternoon. Dinner tonight will be a small pork chop, loads of veg and maybe a little bit of pasta. I've got to try harder at making my fastday meal more appealing. Happy fasting all :)
Your chicken salad sounds lovely @Nursebean! Especially if the weather is starting to warm up on your side.
I had a tasty chicken salad in a cafe yesterday which was chopped chicken with chopped Apple and walnuts. It had a bit of a creamy dressing, but I'd like to try and make one with a bit of Greek yogurt as the dressing.
Enjoy the rest of your day !
 Count me in.

Thanks for the shout out my friend.
I've been eating mindfully for the week and skipping breakfast but not necessarily eating a full dinner. Salad every lunchtime and not much carbohydrate.
Just seeing how my measurements / weight, (not too bothered by weight ) are affected after a fortnight or so.
So in summary, mindful eating and an eating window with reduced carbs. Every day except some booze at the weekend and maybe a bit of chocolate.
I'm stepping my running back up so it should all balance out not that I'm eating more because I'm exercising because that's just foolish.
That sounds like a plan! Well done. I've bean terrible this week. Just wanting to eat, eat, eat - all naughty things of course - usually chocolate! Anyway, I've bean a good girl today and have eaten nothing!
Good to see you @Angie007az and you @Justdee. So what does everyone have planned for tonight's meal? Me I'm having a chicken salad. It was going to be a kids' cottage pie but the chicken needed using up - so needs must! I'll have a few calories left over so I'm not sure what I'll do with those just yet - but I'm sure it will involve chocolate in some form or other!
No worries everyone - we're nearly there!!
Bean :sleepy:
Bean to the beach AND the park today...sat by the river and by the park lake watching the world go by
Just having a massive fruit salad tonight with a few nuts to bring me up to 500 and provide some protein.
Not much in the freezer and surprisingly unhungry ...hopefully wont be starving later!
Some nice food ideas here today x x
I'm in today too, even though its 19.40. Trying hard not to eat until very late as once I start eating, I wanna eat more and more of the wrong thing. Did a great fast on Monday at work but sabotaged it at home later so I am hoping this evening I can stick to 500 calories by eating at around 9pm. Hope everyone has managed a great fast day today. :clover:
I'm in today. I too need to come up with more interesting meal ideas for light days; it's hard, since I'm vegetarian most of what y'all share doesn't work for me. And I find that elaborate recipes aren't a good idea; once it's time to eat (on a light day; I'm much more patient other days), I have zero patience with fussing (lucky if I can wait for broccoli to cook). Wish there was something I could make ahead and maybe heat up... BTW, I don't use (or even own) a microwave. And I HATE the low cal premade meals (like Lean Cuisine); even the smell makes me nauseated.
