Hi folks,

After some fast attempts that went spectacularly wrong, mainly because I felt sorry for myself, I'm giving it another shot. Half the day is gone, so far so good. For the first time in my life I'm voluntarily trying a water fast, i.e. a fast that is not imposed by some hospital examination. Anyone else in? Any advice re supplements on water-only days? I am with you here. I did this back in 2013/14 and was surprised to see how it 'worked'. Life got in the way so I abandoned the attempt before reaching target. I am just doing the two days with restricted calories. I am not scrupulous with measurements but keep to 600 ish. I manage with milk free teas incl herbal (are they all calorie free? liqourice??). Right now I am having a 'fix' of Bovril before I head out. I think I need the salt it gives. When I get back c 4pm I will have a veggie soup. I made a batch of this and froze portion sizes. Later on it will be couple of eggs with added bits and then something before bed to use up allowance so as not to be too hungry when trying to sleep.

It is very quiet in here compared to years ago.... where is everyone gone? is it the result of smartphone use these days? I still prefer laptop with decent keyboard and phone just for ;checking stuff when out.
