Fasting today, Thursday 19 May
19 May 2016, 04:18
Hi all, I'm here today for my second fast of the week and it is going well so far. Had a normal tea with a splash of soy milk this morning and have just had water and peppermint/liquorice tea since then. I buy a brand called Pukka and it has a nice sweet taste that satisfies me. I will probably have an apple in the car on the way to the hairdressers after work this afternoon. I won't be home til around 8 pm and that is a bit late for me to eat on a fast day so my chickpea burger with a tomato, onion and (1/4 avocado) salsa will be very welcome by then.

Anyone else here today?
Good Morning@Pilchards
I'm joining you today for my 2nd fast of the week.
Monday was fairly easy going to say it was my first in 2 weeks, lets see what today brings.
Just liquids until T time and then cod and lots of veg.
Good luck everyone
Morning all I'm in for my second fast of the week. Two weeks back on it and I can feel the difference already. Why oh why did I stop? I know things happen but I really do feels so much better when I fast, Anyways had an early start at work today (6am) too early to even register a need for food so I'm fasting, then off to cheer Min on at the athletics meet this afternoon which means I won't get to eat until about 8pm. I can't even think about what that will be as it seems so far off! Black coffee it is then.
I'm in too, same meals as on Tuesday - small egg salad for lunch then a big prawn salad for dinner. Today the garden project that made me so grumpy on Tuesday has worked out, and I'm in a much better frame of mind. Off for my usual Thursday stroll with my slow-walking friend :clover:
I'm in for my second fast this week. I am at the hairdresser this evening too @Pilchards. So just a quick dash home for one small piece of ricotta cannelloni, after some broccoli for late lunch and an apple late afternoon. I don't usually have anything pasta on a fast time but I need something very quick so cannelloni it was! Perhaps a hot chocolate before bed, made with low cal choc mix and water with a dash of milk.
Good luck Thursday fasters, regulars, newbies and old timers alike.
I'm in today. First fast for several weeks and much needed because I am just over my maintenance range. I have had a raging desire for sweet and starchy foods for weeks and have seriously over-indulged. Time to get back to a proper fasting routine!

I'm sure we both look fab @MerryMelb! It's chilly here in Sydney this evening so I may join you in the hot chocolate.

I'm in today, feeling a bit hungry/empty but not too bad. Just coffee and green so far (not quite 3pm here), "the usual" later. Just thinking I should put some eggs on to hardboil, really like those on my light days! Another go-to is what I call a "quickie" omelet--don't premix the eggs, just crack two eggs into hot pan (sprayed or nonstick), break the yolks, flip over when able... Sometimes I add a tablespoon of parmesan; I usually don't do other cheese on light days 'cause the cals add up too fast. Like to serve this with some salsa. I tend to be very low carb on light days, not so much intentionally as that's the way it works out, trying to get the most bang for my buck (satiety for the cals). Early on, I tried eating a "low cal" baked potato--no butter of course--and it made me hungrier! :curse: So, while I don't limit carbs on other days, I do on light ones.
Just ate my only meal of the day. Almost have this fast day in the bag!
I'm in for back to back semi-fast days. Maybe I need a new name for them.

I'm off to the UK tonight. I'm hoping to not gain weight on this holiday, or not much. I'm going to try having no or light breakfasts and lunches since I've arranged a lot of dinners out with people.
Well done and welcome @valerieAFxx
Safe and happy journey @maryann xx
