Looks like I'm kicking off today. It's 9am here in the UK and all quiet in the fasting world.
Second fast of the week, hoping to shed 1lb this week. Miso soup mid afternoon and cauliflower soup for dinner, berries and yoghurt. Off to work I go.
Good luck you fasters :clover:
Hi Liz and all other Thursday fasters. I'm in for my first fast for ages. I've managed to maintain through the Autumn though, so hopefully by next week I'll be at a new low. Not looking forward to the fast - I've got out of the habit, but I'm really relieved to have got to the end of a frenetic period of travelling about and looking forward to a few weeks at home and losing that bit more before Xmas.
Hi Ladies,
I'm in too, and @WarriorPrincess I know what you mean about getting out of the fasting habit.
I will be having some slim noodles at lunchtime and a small portion of last night's leftover Moroccan lamb and green veggies for dinner.
Good luck everyone :clover:
Fasting again today (doing a back to back as fasted yesterday too) as I have a few things out in town to do, plus want to readjust my schedule so a fast day falls on next Wednesday (25th).

I haven't posted here since July, my partner became very sick and I didn't have much free time. I've kept up the fasting in that time though. Anyway, good luck everyone!
I am here fasting with you. Nothing whatsoever but black tea so far.... 'Tomorrow I can have breakfast', I keep telling myself. I've been enjoying my food and my carbs and what not. So this once a week fasting keeps me at least somewhat disciplined. I admire you, Flic, that you have kept on fasting through the difficult times. Hope your mate is feeling better now.
November is very dark here in the North, and it is cloudy as well. I wish it would get cold enough for snow to fall. That would make it so much lighter.
Only one more fast Thursday for this wretched November! A couple of more hours to go for afternoon tea with milk, and then dinner a few hours away. Let's hang in there, we can do this! :clover:
2nd fast of the week for me on a very grey day. Just off out for a long walk around our local wildlife park and then at the cinema this evening. Hope all well with everyone.
I am fasting today too. I have been doing this way of eating since mid September and have lost well so well pleased. Have just started to get a little 'stale' so am on here with the hope being with others doing the same will spur me on. Have just started target exercises for those little problem areas now needing urgent attention as I have lost nearly 1 stone so wobbly bits!
Waving: it's nearly Friday here. And yes, @Lizbean, I'm fasting on Wednesdays now. I work on Wednesdays so that makes for easier fasts and I quite like getting it out of the way early in the week. Funny thing happened at the film on Wednesday night. I excused myself from the supper by saying to one of the organisers: I'm fasting today so I won't stay. Oh, says she, we fasted yesterday! Wonderful how this way of life has taken off now and so many people are doing it. Take care everyone, on your fasting Thursday and hang in. Friday is just around the corner.
I'm here, and I've had a rough day... started off by forgetting about a really important meeting this morning, which is unusual for me.. my normal response would have been to eat, to stuff my feelings down.. so It's been a challenge to fight against that, but it feels quite significant that I've made it through!! Slim noodles with prawns for tea... I shall savour every morsel of it :starving:
I am with you fellow Thursday fasters - and agree that this dull grey weather in the UK is rather depressing.
Stomach growling a bit now, but a cup of tea is beconing... Have a successful day folks!
I tried very hard for most of the day but did succumb to some chocolate. My medical annual review today had mostly gone so very well I gave in and either celebrated or tried a little comfort. Weight down, BMI down, height - shrunk one inch which meant BMI didn't reduce as much as hoped and is just above recommended level, waist reduced, cholesterol down (all :victory: ) but blood pressure up  . I think it is the white coat syndrome and I am recovering from a viral infection and having medication for that, well one has to blame something.
Lines 'I will try harder on Monday my next fast day'.
I'm in today; have been fighting off a cold and thus must take my herbal "cocktail" which has 35cals; I rather resent having to "use" those calories in a medicinal way, but have found if I don't keep up with the herbals, the damned cold will come back. Just now having my green tea (not quite 2pm here, so still early).
