Hi all
My second fast of the week. Anyone else in today?
Lunch of tomatoes cucumbers capers and cottage cheese. Will probably have an omelette for dinner.
Good luck :clover:
Merry
I'm in too @MerryMelb, and today I saw your post before starting another one.
Same plan for me today as on Tuesday, boring but it worked, vegetable soup for lunch and vegetable stew with soya mince and slim rice for dinner. I'm going to do a session on the treadmill before my Pilates class.
On Tuesday my class instructor told me I looked like I had lost weight
@SianS that's great. It is always a good feeling when someone notices  All that exercising!

Your dinner sounds good - what veggies do you put into your stew?

I had some mushrooms and tomatoes with my omelette, a small serve of diced pears with a sprinkle of powdered ginger and a dob of yogurt, with a last snack of airpopped plain popcorn.

cheers
My second fast of the week (and year) is nearly done. Spent four weeks back in the Netherlands eating everything I felt like so I am preparing myself mentally for a few months of regular fasting before I get back to my maintenance range. I hope it goes quicker/easier than during most of 2016; every time I got close I put some weight on :(
I had two coffees with a splash of milk and one peach during the day and for dinner chicken tenderloins, quinoa and zucchini side dish and green salad. I don't count calories but I think it was not much above 500.
I am fasting today. I was fasting last Thursday, also, but did not write then, because I had a bad fall on the icy roads here and am still suffering from concussion. I am so glad it is February. This year January was a real bummer, me being sick or injured three times. When I fell last Thursday I was fasting, I wonder if that was a contributing factor, It is very cloudy weather here, sorry if I am moaning. My weight is a bit up, but I am not worried about that because Lenten fast is getting closer.
Dinner eaten, I ate earlier than I would normally as I was really hungry late afternoon.
@MerryMelbmy vegetable stew consists of Onion, Celery and Mushrooms, cooked with a tin of chopped tomatoes and 75g of red lentils and 2 knorr stock cubes. I cook it in my pressure cooker then blend slightly, before adding a pack of frozen grilled vegetables (courgette, aubergine and peppers). I made a huge pot of it on Tuesday which made 5 portions, which I've frozen for future fasts.
I've started having a small portion of 0% strained yogurt at bedtime, which seems to help with my poor sleep on fast days.
Dear @Margotsylvia

Sorry to hear about your accident! Do take care of yourself if you still have concussion. What were the circumstances of your fall? Seems unlikely fasting contributed unless you were feeling very lightheaded or some such. But while you are recovering, perhaps it might be better to ensure you are eating sufficient nutritious food, rather than worrying about fasting.

Anyway, I wish you a speedy recovery. :clover:
Good to see you "back" @wmr309! I assume you had a wonderful time in the Netherlands. Do you have family there?

I have total sympathy for not being able to get back to the weight you were after first losing on 5:2. As you may have read, after battling to do the same for quite some while, I decided that it was more important for me to focus on my eating behaviour and how I feel in myself, rather than the actual weight, and so stopped weighing. I also have had to accept that maybe that lowest weight was too low for me to maintain at this stage in my life. It is a change in mindset but the reading I have done on this issue (in particular about not weighing) makes sense to me. But I know I am among a tiny minority who don't weigh, so clearly most people don't think the same as me!!

Best wishes. :clover:
Well if I had checked in with you all, perhaps my fast day would have gone better >. < LOL

instead I got invited out for sushi, and things went slightly downhill from there. I didn't have a horrible day, but I ate about twice as much as I planned. Oh well.
I am in today as well. Last night my evil offspring brought home a huge slice of chocolate cake and I ate half of it (thanks PMS!). I don't think I went over my TDEE by a lot, but still. I didn't really want to have the sugar and carbs. But oh well. That's the beauty of this WOE - don't have to beat myself up too bad about that. Just continue today.
