Woooohooooo! Made it :victory:

1 scrambled egg for breakfast, three rice cakes and a lovely treat of 220 calorie smoked salmon sushi after I had finished the shopping. So proud that I made it through, especially as we are packing for a camping weekend, nerves are frayed and there is a half bottle of cold white wine in the fridge.

Well done if you made it too. That's me done until Tuesday, bring on the Bank Holiday weekend
In the western U.S., so I'm behind most of you timewise, just after 3pm here. I have been trying to make 16 hours foodless before eating on fast days, but since I eat dinner quite late (hoot hoot you betcha), it's challenging. Have found that the (magical) veggie broth cubes help, as does lots of fluids (plain iced tea); this should be called "the peeing diet!" When I have some time, possibly tonight, I'm going to write a long post about how this is affecting my overall eating...positively, to say the least! Only an hour to go till 16; then I may make it to after work (5:30pm)...wish me luck!
Good luck, @ferretgal! It's Friday morning here and I'm thinking about breakfast while you are struggling through the late afternoon. That is definitely the hardest time. The hours from about 3pm to dinner time. Hang in there. You'll soon be eating dinner and it'll all be over.
Hi everyone, well I had a great successful fast day on Thursday ( Friday morning here now) and I just woke up to having lost 0.5 kg and a1 cm i think off my waist finally after 3 weeks so I'm very happy. I'm only 1/2 cm off my waist to where my doc says is healthy for non indigineous Australian women 88cm ( I'm 88.5cm) but I'm aiming for 50% of my height which is 85cm or less considering I still have 11 KGS to lose before I even hit the healthy weight range!
Good luck to all my fasting peeps. Just remember this is slooooooowwww but it works!
Hi @ferretgal. Behind here in Nevada, too. It's a "minimalist day" for me today. My husband coined that word for it, and I like the way it sounds. He's having his version of a minimalist day after yesterday's overdoing with a BIG bean, bacon and cheese-filled burrito and a big carrot cake with ice cream. I think his stomach rebelled at the overload!

I had 'lunch' a bit ago and it really hit the spot. I used a cup of no fat low sodium organic chicken broth with about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce, 3 drops of Tapatio hot sauce, 1/2 t. minced garlic from a tube, 1/2 t. tomato paste, 1 baby bella mushroom chopped, 1 t. green onion chopped, squeeze of lemon and 1 minute in the microwave. I guess you can tell I stood at the open fridge door and put in what sounded good. Well, it tasted so incredibly good, I repeated the process! Lots of flavor; the mushroom gives it a meaty richness. I think probably had a grand total of 30-40 calories. :victory:

I think I'll have some leftover chicken-waldorf salad plus spinach for dinner. I'm thinking it's about 300 calories or so. That and some coffee and a 1/2"square of dark chili chocolate and I'm good.
Made it to 6:30pm before eating...but probably pushing it, starting to feel just the edge of a headache, but is gone since eating. Wanting to get the most "bang for my buck" calorie-wise, have been eating a lot more veggies; asparagus in season, yeah! Washington state has some incredibly delish local strawberries, but not out till June, can't wait. Funny how fast I get full now...and that I NOTICE when I'm getting full, instead of chowing down blithely right past it.... Managed to save enough calories for yogurt and berries later tonight, if I want them.
