Good morning! Drizzling here this morning - glad I mowed the lawn yesterday. :) But thinking of our NSW colleagues and the horrendous weather - anyone affected?

My second fast for the week - who else is in?

Best wishes and good luck! :clover:
Hi Sassy,i' m in for day one of a back to back..after ive been to bed that is
Good Luck to all fasters, here's to a day of Thursday Thrills of the non food kind! X
Thanks @Sassy1 for leading us out and I hope all is well with all friends in NSW. See you all in the morning, take care.
The DODO gang should be in today, those of us who are in sync, anyway. I had considered BTB Tue and Wed this week because I have a party today, but fasting yesterday was out of the question after feeling poorly on Tuesday. So here I am. Hopefully I can keep things in check tonight. It's a school night; this party shouldn't be too crazy.
Hi, think I'm fasting on Thursday, altho' we have a long way to go til Thurs here in the U.S. Trying to get a bit in sync with the DODO-ers - see what a good influence you all have been !!!
I am having my first black coffee for the day, half way through the house cleaning...

No Aussies yet?? I haven't had a chance to catch up yet on most threads since my return, so am not up-to-date on who has or hasn't been around of late. I should check the DODO tent, as I think that is where a lot of the action has been!!

This fast is harder than Monday's, but I hope I am determined to stick with it and hopefully shed that holiday - as well as some of the prior - gain.

I'll check in later to see who else may be fasting today. :D
Hi @Sassy1. I'm here, been busy all morning and completely forgot to log in. I always find Thursday harder than Monday's.
Yes it's been an awful week so far. We're fine here just feeling soggy, hubby's factory is down near some of the Sydney flooding, it's not flooded but there has been so much water it was coming up through the concrete floor yesterday.
There has been some sunshine this morning but the clouds are coming back now :frown:
I'm off to sunny (I hope) Brisbane for a few days so I'll have to join you all again on Tuesday.
Happy fasting
Hi everyone
I am Polly and I live in NSW. I started the fast diet this week. I fasted Monday and today is my second fast day. Going well so far.
Abou me: I have about 20 kilos to lose. I am fit and active, exercise five days a week, and eat a generally healthy diet. I never gained weight but couldn't lose it. Now I realise just how many calories I was using up on a few glasses of wine each evening (terrible habit) and the snacks I would eat while drinking.
So I am hoping this diet will work for me. It's making me very mindful of all the extras I was having on top of my three, healthy meals.
Hi @Wineoclock, I was thinking of you re the wild weather... It certainly sounds very grim. Hope you get some decent weather in Brissy and enjoy being away from it all. (And how good to be busy on a fast day - it does help time pass.) "See" you next week. :)

Welcome @Polly in Oz. Good to hear that things are going well. Do start a thread in the "Introduce yourself" topic, then more forum members will know you are here! :) You are not alone with a few glasses of wine and associated nibbles being the culprit for kgs you don't want!! Hope you don't find it too hard to reduce these - because combined with fasting, hopefully those kilos will drop off. :)

A bit of a warning, don't expect quick weight loss, or even immediate weight loss - though this does happen for some, and you never know your luck! :) Do take lots of measurements, photos, and find those tight pair of jeans that you want to fit into - seeing a change in any of these should be motivating, and sometimes you get a reduction in cms with little change in weight (scales can be very fickle for various reasons). And do read the fasting library and all topics of interest in the forum - there is so much information here that you should be able to find answers to any question you have. But if you can't, just ask. :)

There are quite a few Aussies in the forum, but whatever the time there is almost always someone online in the forum. Best wishes and good luck! :clover:
Welcome Polly, and good luck!
Welcome @Polly in Oz x hope youre not affected by the stormy weather
@Wineoclock glad youre ok x Enjoy Brissy!
I feel really queasy after some very rich choc cake yesterday  so feel ready for some abstinence and repair today x
Thanks everyone!

@candicemarie It was terrible here but I am lucky enough to live a 10 minute walk from my office. I got wet but at least I didn't have to contend with public transport or any flooding!
Hi @Polly in oz Pilchards in Sydney here - glad to see the sunshine today. Good luck with this WOE. You will find lots of help and support on these forums. Check in often and you will soon get to know some regular contributors. Just remember that it takes a while to adjust to this and it is not the same as other diets and some weeks the scales will not be your friend but your looser clothes (especially around the waist) will inspire you to keep going.
Hi @PollyinOz. Welcome and good luck with your fasting journey.
Thanks all I will enjoy my time in Brissy. Been a shocker couple of weeks for us so really need some time away with hubby to regroup.
Welcome PollyinOz. I'm in today, struggled to get back in the groove Monday after holiday etc. but my head is now in the right place
