Now officially on school holidays. I do only work a day and a half so it's not like it was when I was working a full time job. So in one way, I don't notice, but I'm very happy about it too. I'm doing ok today, although I'm pretty hungry. I just have to stay out of the kitchen. It's OUT OF BOUNDS. How wonderful to be at maintenance @GMH. I wonder if I will ever get to that happy time. I've bought some fish and I'm going to go up to the asparagus patch and see if I can pick the first pick of asparagus. That would be special. Off to the gardening tent now, with further gardening developments.
I am in, second and last fast for the week.
Julianna, we bought our French home as a holiday home. We down sized in England and were able to pay cash for this. After two years of coming over for a weekend every month hubby was made redundant. So we moved here. Five years later we are still here!
Also have developed a sore throat and runny nose. It is about this time of year I have my annual dose of bronchitis! Hope it is not so this time!
Just having my black coffee before heading out to market. Will light the Esse later and do a comforting 'light' shepherds pie ( veggie version for me). It is cold here!
Moien everyone, from crisp and sunny Luxembourg.
I'm in today, starting with a hot milk.
Probably will have a slice of Emmenthal before skipping(hah!) off to my physio this afternoon. Might tuck in a light swim at the spa.
Hubby will cook stir fried fish and veggies for us tonight. I think that will work.
Enjoyed this mornings thread. How lovely to find it all works out in the end!
Hugs to all
Hello Everyone. I am in today second fast of the week. It's going better this week. Egg and ham salad for dinner later. I am lucky as DH has a roast at work on a Thursday so doesn't want much dinner. I've loaded up my MP3 player with an hour worth of songs to go for a walk later.
@julianna I love your cottage story and hope you and @Bobshouse get better soon. On my second cup of builders and planning the work day ahead, SOOO much to do I can't even think about what's for dinner @Sallyo - enjoy your hols. Right 20 mins to get my act together, out the door and on my way.

Happy fasting. :clover:
Hello all, I'm in today. I have a health check up at the Drs later, not quite sure what it will entail but they offered it so I thought why not? Busy day today, it's Mins birthday tomorrow so I shall be wrapping pressies, buying bunting and baking a cake!
Happy fasting everyone x
@Sallyo yes nice to be at maintenance...again :-) but it brings it's own challenges. On another note, eating lunch instead of dinner is sooo brilliant (for me) I had my curry and I feel stuffed to the hilt, 2 hours later and I was only hungry for a couple of hours. AND tomorrow is Friday already. Yippee! Carboclock! LOL good luck to us all for the rest of the day everyone
Good morning everyone! Well, after a "fast" yesterday that ended up being a 16:8 I'm in with a vengeance today! Nothing at all today until this evening when I have a delish (hopefully) chilli con carne waiting for me. Courtesy of? Yes, you've guess it...M&S.

I must say, though, that after just a week of doing this 16:8 regime my appetite is greatly reduced. Last night I went out for a meal, had a bowl of penne pasta with an extremely spicy chorizo sausage in there...and had to leave some! Mind you, I did manage to squeeze in a chocolate bombe afterwards....so I wasn't THAT good!

Bean
Hi Thursday Thasters! Happy to join you for a fast and repair
@minsmum i remember you talking about Mins bday last year..how did that year fly by so fast? X
Have a great day everyone and well done those whose fast is drawing to an end!
@Candicemarie tell me about it... Another year gone!.......but when I look back at how much weight I've lost since then, it's all good :)
I'm in today for the first proper fast for some weeks. I have continued with low carb, mostly 16:8 and two fat fasts, and maintained the losses, even though my weight varies from day to day. So I am trying to incorporate two/three fasts a week for the next couple of weeks before my dear son and his family come over the pond to visit.
X
I am back after a year's absence, 5:2 worked well for me as long as I stayed on it! So I know that I have to work on staying motivated this time. I lost 30 lbs. and maintained it for several months until a friend got excited about Atkin's super low carb and I tried it only to find quite quickly all the hunger gods inside me were wakened and started roaring for food. They didn't settle down until I'd gained back all I lost plus an extra five!

I am doing a 4:3 to jump start but then I think I'll go back to 5:2, which served me well before. So today is my third fast day this week. I might have 100 calories early afternoon and then 400 for dinner.

I'm in the states so my day is just starting while all you Brits are just wrapping it up for the day! Hope you all were wildly successful!

Dee
So far so good,only water
Chicken breast for dinner
@sallyoenjoy yr time off!@bobshouse hope It'snot bronchitis...my mum suffered terribly with that ..@brand-ie love your walking with music idea
@minsmum hope health check ok@GMH oh we are all longing for the maintainers challenges!@Slimmer hiw exciting about Ds visit! And welcome back @drdee!
And that yellow banner gets right on my craw Gahhhh! Xx
Now I remember why I don't have lunch on fast days - it wakens the hunger monster. Fab butternut and sage soup from Pret for late lunch and only 104 calories which is amazing when it is so filling. Anyhow off to the café/club for a double expresso in the hope it will stop the monster that is now raving mad. :curse:
Must try that butternut soup @lizbean..sorry it's woken the Monsta tho..hope the coffee helps! X
