Fasting today Thursday, 3 March
02 Mar 2016, 21:58
Good morning Thursday fasters. I'm here again for my second fast of the week. I find Mondays easier that Thursdays generally. Looking forward to hopping on the scales tomorrow morning. Check in and tell us all how you are doing today. Happy Thursday fasting everyone!

Haha, I originally wrote hoping on the scales instead of hopping!
Or are you hoping to hop? Or hoping after hopping?
Wish you the best for today!
I am with you @Pilchards and @Justme67. Hope you have had a good fast day.
I didn't get a chance to login this morning, but have just finished dinner - eggs and veg - to polish off my second fast for the week. I too really do hope the scales show some progress when I HOP on them tomorrow. :victory:
Morning from me too!
I'm not doing very well at present (cold, wet weather doesn't help!) Despite it being my husbands birthday, I am with you - but will probably break a few rules over dinner tonight. Have a good one folks...
I'll complete 16 hours fasting at noon. Looking forward to egg and avocado :0)
Good luck and keep going folks \o/
I'm here today instead of my normal Mon Weds routine as I have been in Finland for 5 days. An interim weigh in this morning shows a tiny weight gain since my last Monday weigh in and my body fat has fallen - the snowshoeing was quite energetic. So hopefully the damage is not too bad. Supplies are a bit low as hubby has been home alone so I'll have to have a little rummage before I decide on tonight's dinner
I hereby volunteer to convert even more localized gelatinous mass back to its original pristine form of infrared, oxidized carbon and dihydrogen-oxide by utilizing several rarely-attempted and moderately intense processes to mindfully do my part in the struggle to reestablish orbital stability.

I'm in today, not quite 2pm here in Seattle, having my pot o' green tea now. I don't eat till after work, 6pmish; I find it works better for me. Note that my 6pm "meal" is just a snack; I normally eat dinner late (9-10pm), even on normal days.

Over time, I've found that hunger on light days comes and goes; sometimes, I get caught up in errands or chores after work, and "forget" to eat. That sounds like a good thing...but as it turns out, it's not; it means when I do finally eat, it's much harder to control myself and not just start cramming food in my mouth when I'm trying to prepare something. Once that first bite goes in, it's like my brain is put on hold and my mouth and stomach take over. And it's much easier to not nibble when I'm not legitimately "starving."

So I try to have my favorite "emergency" light day snack in the fridge--hardboiled eggs. Somehow, that combination of fat and protein really works for me, and the lack of carbs doesn't trigger the Hunger Monster.
I've been in for my second fast of the week, the first was on Tuesday. I needed them after gaining a few pounds away in Belgium for a long weekend. Hopefully, those pounds will soon be gone - and stay gone!
:clover: :clover: Good luck to those still fasting. :clover: :clover:
I'm in today, too! Breakfasted--about 1/2 oz. of brie, 4 or 5 strawberries and 2 almonds cuppa tea and lots of black coffee  . Lunch will be bone broth veg soup, and dinner will probably be a big salad and tilapia. My husband is starting the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol, and I am head nutritionist and chef-cheerleader, so it will be very, very interesting! He is fighting Rheumatoid Arthritis, so the stakes are high. Have a wonderful fast day, everyone!

Me too! It explains why I cram that food before bed on Fast days. Boiled egg? I am headed to kitchen now to do the same. It is Fri. and I fast Tues., Fri. On Tues. I made a cauliflower pizza that was delicious! It makes 2 servings, about 250 calories. Luckily, a friend stopped by who is dieting, and she ate the other serving. No late night temptation left for me to eat. It was one of my first total fasts!
Good luck today, too. :clover:

I just bought Melissa Joulwan's Well Fed 2. It has AIP adaptations for all her recipes, or it notes that the recipe can't be adapted without losing integrity. Example, "Curry, omit curry powder; replace with turmeric and ginger. Replace ghee with coconut oil." or "lemon lamb tagine, omit paprika and Aleppo pepper, use green olives that are not stuffed with pimientos, includes seed spice; cumin (tastes fine without)." She has lots of recipes for free on her website, but I don't know if there is AIP info there. I really like her recipes and have made several from her first book (which does not have AIP notes).
Good luck to you husband!
