Wish you the best for today!
I didn't get a chance to login this morning, but have just finished dinner - eggs and veg - to polish off my second fast for the week. I too really do hope the scales show some progress when I HOP on them tomorrow.
I'm not doing very well at present (cold, wet weather doesn't help!) Despite it being my husbands birthday, I am with you - but will probably break a few rules over dinner tonight. Have a good one folks...
Good luck and keep going folks \o/

Over time, I've found that hunger on light days comes and goes; sometimes, I get caught up in errands or chores after work, and "forget" to eat. That sounds like a good thing...but as it turns out, it's not; it means when I do finally eat, it's much harder to control myself and not just start cramming food in my mouth when I'm trying to prepare something. Once that first bite goes in, it's like my brain is put on hold and my mouth and stomach take over. And it's much easier to not nibble when I'm not legitimately "starving."
So I try to have my favorite "emergency" light day snack in the fridge--hardboiled eggs. Somehow, that combination of fat and protein really works for me, and the lack of carbs doesn't trigger the Hunger Monster.
Good luck to those still fasting.

Me too! It explains why I cram that food before bed on Fast days. Boiled egg? I am headed to kitchen now to do the same. It is Fri. and I fast Tues., Fri. On Tues. I made a cauliflower pizza that was delicious! It makes 2 servings, about 250 calories. Luckily, a friend stopped by who is dieting, and she ate the other serving. No late night temptation left for me to eat. It was one of my first total fasts!
Good luck today, too.

I just bought Melissa Joulwan's Well Fed 2. It has AIP adaptations for all her recipes, or it notes that the recipe can't be adapted without losing integrity. Example, "Curry, omit curry powder; replace with turmeric and ginger. Replace ghee with coconut oil." or "lemon lamb tagine, omit paprika and Aleppo pepper, use green olives that are not stuffed with pimientos, includes seed spice; cumin (tastes fine without)." She has lots of recipes for free on her website, but I don't know if there is AIP info there. I really like her recipes and have made several from her first book (which does not have AIP notes).
Good luck to you husband!
