Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.
Just a coffee for me so far, I'll eat at 8pm tonight.
Good luck.
I'm in today! It's the first fast in a month or so due to life--vacay etc. I've been kind of 16:8ing to support my husband. He may or may not be able to really do it--he seems to require more frequent food intake--but sort of is better than not at all. So, I'll support him, but I'll do it my way (5:2).
So, I had about 100 calories this morning between 1 T of oatmeal, some pistachios, strawberries, nonfat greek yogurt and black coffee. For lunch, I think I'm going to whip up some broth-based vegetable soup with mushrooms standing in for meat (about 50-75 calories) and a cracker (30 cal.) Then, this evening, we will have salad and salmon with sweet potatoes (for my hubby.) I think I can get in at about 500 total for the day.
And, once more into the breach.
And a special mention for our newbie @Chocolate bunny
I had some Veggie soup and an Oopsie roll at about 2pm. Dinner was a small portion of a chicken casserole I had made for the family with a big pile of runner beans from the garden. I'm not quite sure how many calories the dinner was as I didn't weigh my portion, but I feel satisfyingly full.
Food tomorrow before a blood donor session.
@JayeGirl you are obviously made of very stern stuff to go all day till 8pm, after a night out.
Saturday fast for me, then my usual Monday.
I fasted today. After a long time of not so mindful window eating, I am back on 5:2 because I need to shake off the 2lb that I am over target, so that I can fulfil Penny's summer challenge pledge of ending the summer at target. For the 2nd time this week I have found it easy. Chamomile and spearmint tea all day then for dinner we had pan fried fish with a leek, mushroom and spinach concoction. It was yummy and was so low in calories that I was able to have some full fat Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Very pleased that I have been able to get back into the 5:2 rhythm so easily.
