Ok, I had a break. It was getting to frustrating. 2 months of fasting and not a single gram lost.
Then there was my birthday, Easter and it just didn't work out.
Oh - and I went to the doctor and I learned that not only my Thyroid is underfunctioning - I have Hashimoto. Great. Don't need that %&$$. The news threw me off a bit.
And I need to get rid of my remaining 2 wisdom teeth and a mole... so not looking forward to it!

But today I figured would be the day and I would start fasting again. (Haven't been on my scales lately... but I bet I have gained a bit.)
Wish me luck. I already woke up hungry... but I am not feeling too bad...
I have the same condition! It adds a new layer of complexity and difficulty, but its not impossible! Work with your dr to get your dose correct. There is no magic cure, but with the right meds, activity and diet, you'll be able to get back on track. At least now you know why things haven't been working for you recently.
One thing I'd recommend after 12 years of diagnosed hashimotos is to chow down on veggies. If it's not a veggie or a protein, don't do it! Also, make sure you're getting 8+ hrs of sleep. Sleep will be your foundation for a healthy life!

I've gotten my thyroid levels and solutions mostly under control and fasted today too! Hope yours went well. Keep fighting the good fight!
I'm in today and the resident of StruggleTown - population me.

I made it until lunch easily and then caved and ate some almonds, a pear and a miso soup, which was everything I'd allocated until dinner. So now we return to the yawning chasm of green tea and water until some salmon and veggies for dinner.

Hi, I am here today and just having a Pukka peppermint and liquorice tea for lunch. I had a breakfast meeting this morning where there were lots of yummy offerings but I was very strong and only had a soy flat white which I will count towards my 500 calories. Having a chickpea burger and salad tonight before going to see Fiddler on The Roof at the theatre this evening. As I was up at 5 this morning it is going to be a long day............
Morning everyone! Oh dear you guys! It sounds as though its bean difficult over in Oz - but I'm sure you've all come through the other side ok - haven't you?!
I'm in today - my second and last of the week. Not sure what I'll have this evening - its a work in progress - but until then, water, water and maybe the odd green tea - yippee!!
Anyone going to be joining me - when they're up?!!
Bean  :starving:
Hope you are all doing well!

Made it till 4 o'clock. Then I had a homemade lentilburger (without the bread) and now a few Macadamias plus 4 Brazil Nuts for my Selenium intake.
And now it's again water and water and water... still have a few hours to go!
Good luck to you all!
Yup I'm in!
Good luck all x had to smile at @MelbMandys yawning chasm..i know exactly what you mean Melbs! X
Hello Thursday fasters. I am just heading off to bed after a successful fast day. I hope everybody made it throught, and that the chasm didn't beat you @MelbMandy
Lots of tea - I am really enjoying the licorice and peppermint tea. Thanks @Pilchards for the recommendation. Someone else mentioned a Pukka 3 cinnamons tea which I might try next.
I'm fasting today as well. I'm enjoying a bowl of my spicy butternut squash soup with half a pack of Slim Rice to add some bulk. I've had a successful week so far and have lost 4lbs since my Monday weigh in, and while I realise a lot of this is water weight, I'm happy.
Good luck everyone :clover:
I'm in today. The whole 5:2 thing didn't go well between Christmas and Easter, despite working just fine for me in the past, so after a 2 week Easter break from it I'm hoping it will start working again. I'm really busy at work which always helps, but I think I've drunk too much coffee! :clover: :clover: to all.
Its getting to the difficult time of the day. It won't be TOO long until food time - but then 5 mins later and I'll have to wait until tomorrow - although I can't eat breakfast on Fridays because its weigh-in day. Oh berlimey!
Well done @SianS for an amazing 4 pound loss. I don't think I've EVER had such a huge loss in one week - in my entire life! That's just brilliant. :)
