Fasting today, Thursday 9 June
08 Jun 2016, 23:26
Morning all, let's get this party started! I am sensing a renewed level of activity around these forums at the moment (perhaps as you northern hemisphere peeps rush headlong into summer?) and that is a good thing so lets see if we can get this topic onto 2 or even 3 pages today.

I'm in for my normal Thursday fast and will have nothing but tea (two normal cups with a splash of soy milk, the rest peppermint and liquorice), and gallons of water until around 6.30 pm when I have zuchinni spaghetti with an avocado and basil pesto, sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes, spring onions and a sprinkle of cashew nut cheese planned for dinner.

I look forward to hearing what my fellow Thursday faster's have planned. I find it much easier knowing that I have something tasty to look forward to and with a busy day in the office, the day will fly by.

Happy Thursday fasting.
Hi Pilchards, I am joining you today but have yet to decide what to have. I usually have 2 or 3 cups of coffee and as much water as I can stuff down and then like you have a meal as late as I can told out to! I am now shedding what I put back on like an idiot!!
Just jumping in to say happy fasting to all the Thursday fasters. I often fast on Thursday, but did a Weds one this week. I have a couple of days off to roll into a long weekend, so got my fasts out of the way early :-)
cheers!
Hello all - I'm doing 16:8 today, so will be with you for some of the day.

Just wanted to pop by & say hello to @solange - from one "idiot" to another!! I've got shed loads to lose....the same shed loads that I lost on here back in 2014. I think that puts me firmly in the "idiot" camp...though perhaps we should be a little kinder on ourselves and call ourselves....human.

Wishing you all a very successful day!
Morning Everyone
I'm in today......alittle cooler this morning in Yorkshire.
I'll be having loads of water and Tea and this afternoon I'll be hitting the fizzy water.
I've decided to take my old hobby of running up again, but I've got a feeling it will be
more like jogging.....let's see how it go's
Good luck everyone :clover:
First time today I am sitting down, to say yes, I've been fasting today! Went to the gym this morning. Three coffees, litres of water and a lentil, vegetable stew with some chorizo and yoghurt for dinner tonight. Only peppermint and liquorice tea till bedtime. Fingers crossed for the scales tomorrow.
I'm in today as well. Been to the gym this morning and have lots of house work to do before I go to work at 5pm. I've had lots of water and fennel tea to drink and at about 4pm my dinner will be meatballs with chilli sauce with a wee bit of mozzarella served on a bed of broccoli, well under 500 cals. I shall walk to work and back again and when I come home I'll treat myself to some fizzy flavoured water. I'm a daily weigher but report once a week on a Friday and so far it's looking good.
Hey all, I'm in today; still early here (just after 10am), so just coffee so far. Saw my doc yesterday; she approved of my weight loss (haven't seen her since starting 5.2). Have to go get blood drawn soon for testing, will let y'all know the results (haven't had my cholesterol etc checked in a long time). Everything else good, though bp a little high (knowing me, probably too much salt...). Time for green tea!
Another idiot here @solange and @hazelnut20 or perhaps we are just not always our own best friends? We wdnt let our best friend sabotage themselves the way we do it to ourselves!
Anyway,as my good pal @nursebean said to me today, dont worry about the past.
Wise words Beano and very true x its what we do in the present moment that counts!
Hope all us thursday fasting girlees have had a good day..i' m finding fast days fairly easy til it gets to dindins time..once ive eaten, i wd like to continue!
Well i am off for a shower then to attack my 500 cals! Ham and salad, some fruit,a low cal choc drink if needs be!
Big hugs all round and well done everyone..even if any of you didnt quite make it,you started with good intentions! And tomorrow is another day! XX
Do you know, that's very true @candicemarie! I'm worse towards myself than I would ever dream of being to anyone else - and I know I'm not alone on that one!

Hope today has been a good one for you! Xx

Do you drink Pukka? It's my favourite brand.

My licorice tea is from Higher Living (UK) brand, for sale at Woolworths. I'll get loose peppermint tea from T2 which I find the most refreshing. Twinings now sells a licorice and peppermint tea but it's not as good. I'll look out for Pukka. Thanks!
Thanks @wmr309 - it is good to share favourite brands.

I had a good fast day but probably went over my 500 calories a bit as I made some salted caramel fudge for the office and was a bit over zealous when licking the bowl!

I haven't eaten anything yet today as I find a often do a sort of 16:8 following a fast day. Good luck to any Friday fasters who are reading this - we are all here for you.
Hi Hazlenut20 and all
Oh dearie me. Was doing so well yesterday but went over to a neighbour and fell foul of rather too much white wine.
Most enjoyable but fattening empty calories!!
I will not fail again (positive affirmation) :victory:
I am not a complete idiot, just sometimes. :curse:
You all sound so lovely and have been reading all about you. Thanks for having me here.
Lovely to have you with us @solange!

I must read other people's posts more slowly! Read yours.....saw the words fail, fell and foul....& within moments I had you down as getting blind drunk at your neighbour's....& falling over!

Re-read it & realised you're OK - phew, that's a relief!

I think we all owe it to ourselves to be a little idiotic from time to time - life should involve lots of laughter! There's plenty of serious stuff around most of the time anyway....

Keep your posts coming!
