Fasting today: Tues Feb 9, 2016
09 Feb 2016, 23:28
wow, am I really starting off today? surely someone else is fasting today. I switched from my usual Monday fast 'cause I took off from work yesterday...Long story, had a fall skating on Sunday, and I prefer to observe light days when I'm working, easier to follow the routine. Plus, I was still in the "feeling put upon" phase following an accident yesterday, and felt I didn't want to battle both the normal light day temptations and that as well. Not badly hurt in the fall--amazingly, since I landed on my FACE--just a little skinned nose and chin, plus a few assorted bruises (gear--helmet, pads, wrist guards--rules!).
It's a bit late, @ferretgal, but I hope that you're not feeling too sore after your tumble! :frown:

I broke an arm the last time I went skating - but that was thirty two years ago!

Sorry you fell. That can throw your whole body off for a few days. It was smart to postpone fast.
I too fasted yesterday, just didn't get to post. I did great till 10 pm when the dog got me up. This time, though, I ate less carbs and no sweets or junk food. Progress! Now to figure out what to do about fast day binging at night. Maybe too tired to think it through?
Ouch! @ferretgal! I hope you are feeling restored. I read you have a birthday coming...going on 8? Wonderful!
I tried to fast yesterday but continued on my carb binge instead. I think I need to flush the carb cravings before I try another fast. I'm shooting for Friday.
Sorry to hear about your accident@ferretgal Hope you're soon back to normal. I'm gradually getting over my fall 2 weeks ago. Still got a very 'colourful' leg but managed aqua aerobics this afternoon albeit a bit subdued. Had a busy day today - nearly time to start cooking  Got some turkey steaks so it will be either stir fry or chorizo and butter bean stew with a bit of added turkey.

I'm fasting Fri. also. I am having trouble fasting through till next morning. I know binging. Yesterday at night I did better - binged on good food, not sweets. Slowly improving. Does 'flushing carb cravings mean few carbs for a few days? I am so far avoiding sugars, and fewer carbs. Let us know how you do. :clover:
