Yesterday was a public holiday in SA so I didn't fast (possibly doing the exact opposite). I am doing one today instead although planned dinner for tonight is not what I'd normally eat on a fasting day ('bangers and mash', aka sausages and mashed potatoes). I'll have to make some adjustments such as half a sausage, a tablespoon of mash and the rest of the plate filled with vegetables. Anyone else joining me?
Hi there - thanks for starting the thread.
Yesterday's holiday - and the long weekend in general - was not so good for fasting! A few treats - wine, icecream, Lindt choccy, cashews, etc snuck in over the weekend.
So today is a fast day and it has gone well. Poached eggs with veggies for dinner, and soon some blueberries for dessert.
I hope the sausage was delish - or at least half of it! :doh:
Hi, have been drinking coffee all morning, now switched to fizzy water to keep me going through the afternoon. Poached eggs sound good MerryMelb, I might go for that for dinner, with that Swiss chard that has been slowly wilting in my fridge for a week or so.
I'm in today. Plaice fillet and salad tonight. Happy fasting :grin:
I'm in too and it's my first time since 2014. Feeling good so far! Had tea with lemon, fruit rea and water so far and trying to last as long as possible before eating anything. If I can I'll go until an early dinner of courgette spaghetti with tomato sauce and homemade basil-only pesto. Have a great day everyone!
Same! Yesterday would not have worked for fasting, so doing so today!

Intake plan:
Coffee here at work, and tea.
I have very little food in the house, so my plan is to eat a green smoothie tonight. Prob with either PB or protein powder.

I just cracked and had 2 sticks of celery. I hope that doesn't wake the Hungry Monster.
I'm in today too. Planning a run, followed by elliptical and stationary bike.
It's a bit late, but I fasted yesterday. I wasn't feeling well, thus the lack of posting. I'm on spring break so I have a bit more time on my hands...
