I am hoping for a light day today, as per last Tuesday - when I went out for lunch but managed to keep the day under control. I am lunching with the same group today, and hope for the same outcome.

Had a "disastrous" day yesterday... Somehow the combination of heat/humidity, tiredness/listlessness and boredom/reading a lot, led to far too much food being consumed. At least I got a good night's sleep last night, the best in ages, and it is a lot cooler today, so we will see how we go. Have walked the dogs, done the cycle ride, and am having a peppermint tea.

Best wishes to all other fasters today. :clover:
Hi @Sassy1
I was with you today - only just got around to posting. Yes - I enjoyed the cooler day today after a good sleep last night. The cooler night definitely helps!
I may do what I did last week and do back to back again, as my normal second fast day, Thursday, is a public holiday for Australia Day - and I will be eating out at least once that day (and there may be cake!)
I hope your light day has gone well.
Now I'm just lazing on the couch watching tennis and making sure I stay away from the kitchen!

cheers
Merry
Hello,
I'm in today too, it is strange reading about you suffering from the heat when I have to scrape the ice off the windscreen.
I'm having a spicy tomato soup for lunch and a veggie curry with quorn and slimrice for dinner. So far so good
Well Happy Australia Day in advance! I would love to say I'll remember and post on Thursday, but the truth is that I won't >.< Sigh. I can't remember things like relatives birthdays too without MANY reminders, so please don't take it personally. I hope you all have a wonderful day and don't overindulge too much <3

I'm in for another light day today. I will call yesterday's a great success, as I managed to stick to my plan (no eating until 4pm, keeping my points to 15 which is ~750 calories).

My weight is coming down too, so I'm pleased with that result.

Like Sian, I'm a little thrown hearing about the heat! We are having an ice storm today -- that's where we have a super wet snow, hovering just at freezing, which coats everything in a nice layer of ice. Driving is very treacherous and school is closed. And it's not even the fun snow you can make snowmen with. It's just blech. I'd rather have a proper 12" of snow with temperatures well below freezing. *shakes fist at global warming* But it's supposed to warm up to several degrees above freezign today so the ice will probably melt this afternoon.
Yay for weight coming down! It's amazing how it affects my mood when I get on the scale and it's even lower than I expected.

Oh man, I'm so jealous of the cold weather - I'm a warm-blooded person who loves the cold, but LIVE IN FLORIDA!. I still have to turn the AC on most days, because it's so darn warm. I was in NYC over New Year's, and absolutely LOVED the weather (it wasn't that cold, only down to the 40's).
It sounds like all of you were well prepared for a good fast day - trust it continued well. My day could have been a bit lighter, but I didn't have any chocolate, so am happy with it. Like Merry, I might also try for a light day today. (Though we never do anything special for Australia Day, can't say it has any meaning for me, I am not a supporter of nationalism and I have some sympathy for the Aboriginal people who consider it Invasion Day...)

We have a cool morning, but the week is going to be pleasantly warm, if the forecast is right. We never get the sort of cold some of you were talking about, and I am glad about that. One of the reasons we emigrated from the UK was because dad was fed up with snow and slush and frozen radiators etc!

I could *never* live in Florida. I have visited in winter and spring, and there's no way. I love the seasons and I love winter and cold :-)
oh, I'm with you, I only moved here cause my daughter's dad was here and I wanted her to be close to him during high school and college.
She has graduated a couple of months ago.... but now I have a house and a great job, but still desperately want to move to somewhere with a real winter!
