Who's fasting today?

I saw the dentist this morning for a "clean and polish", so thought it would be a good day to fast. Followed that by walking the '1000 steps' (Melbournians will know what that is - about 1000 steps up a steep hill, then down the back way, takes about an hour round trip). Having my black coffee now, then preparing soup for dinner, washing the car, and off to the cinema to fill in the rest of the day before food!!

Best wishes and good luck to all fasters! :clover:
You're doing really well today @Sassy! We are just starting our Tuesday in UK and are looking forward to the good feeling at the end of of our fasting. It promises to be busy, starting out with a gym session. Weather: cool windy damp grey with sun peeping through later perhaps. ( Strawberries breakfast and a coffee with frothed almond milk (only 28 cal no carb), meatballs from the freezer with green veges tonight.) Good fasting everyone! :clover:
I'm fasting today as well, I can't believe there are only three of us.
I've updated my Tracker and it tells the story of how I stopped fasting last summer, stopped logging my weight (there are a lot more points on the downward line than on the upward one). And here I am starting again with a good 19lbs to lose, no social events coming up, no visitors to entertain - so no excuses.
So far today I've had numerous teas and coffees with a dribble of skimmed milk, and a bowl of thick Tomato and Vegetable soup that works out at about 70 cals on MFP. Dinner will be Prawn Salad.
The Cross Trainer doesn't know what's hit it, I've used it 3 times since last Friday and am planning to do 20 mins every morning.
Happy Fasting :clover:
Sorry, but I am not joining you as it is the last day of my official fasting holiday. This evening is official post holiday weighting time, so we will see what next week will bring. Meantime, keep up the good work if you still have a couple or more hours to go :like:
In today because I attended a family celebration yesterday. That is the wonderful thing about 5:2 it is possible to switch fasting days enabling me to go out and enjoy myself on celebratory occasions. Didn't overeat a wonderful meal, it was so tasty.
Just enjoyed small portion of smoked mackerel and salad followed by a lovely juicy orange for my evening meal and feel very satisfied.
Started 5:2 yesterday. Monday and Thursday are going to be my days to do it. I made smoothies (using coconut water, lettuce/spinach and berries.) Not too bad. Down a few lbs today-my shorts are fitting better. Didn't get that really cold feeling that I sometimes get when I fast. Had been doing 4:3 but it felt like "too much" for my body so will be staying at 5:2. All the best to everyone ;)
Lifting the flap, to say hello and a big well done as you go to bed.
While not fasting today, my kitchen door closed at 8 pm :clover: :victory:
Dear @SianS, thanks for being brave enough to update your tracker :) something I have yet to do... Do keep us posted on your progress, I think we can learn a lot from people losing second time around. There are quite a few in this camp, but I am not sure how many have reached goal again, or lost as much as they did the first time if they didn't reach goal (not meaning to be negative). Perhaps should start a thread to find out??

Regular weighing does seem to be one of the keys to successful maintenance. Ideally I don't think that in maintenance you should need fast days (ie consuming less than 500 cals) as such, but long fasting periods can still be incorporated in the routine if you want the benefits of fasting. Eating windows are a good way of doing this, though don't work for those of us who like to eat at any time of day, especially in the evenings (I just can't go to bed feeling hungry!).

Good luck and best wishes. :clover:

Welcome to the forums, @Leapster - feel free to post in the "Introduce yourself" forum. It's the end of the day, so not too many people will see this.
