Here we go again! On the 1000 cal maintenance fast. I have discovered this has its own challenges, whilst it sounds easy to have so many calories, there us the "am I fasting or feeding" thing going on in my head. Not quite into the groove yet. So after an insomniacs night of little sleep, I staggered out of bed at 5.45am had 2 coffees to get me at least moving, grabbed a protein bar and headed for the train. I have just munched my way thru Saud protein bar. Feel disorganised, hopefully you other fasters will be doing better :-) good luck!
Keep strong - my first fast day to ever!
Am I on my lonesome so far? I guess the tomorrowers will be here soon. I'm on my way home, coffee, protein bar and an Apple so far, then lunch, with 250 cals left for emergencies :-) so hot here today, just hit 34C where I was, :sleepy: will walk dogs later w:enjoy heat has died a bit.
I'm joining you@GMH starting in the early morning. Glad your day is turning out better after the disorganised feeling earlier. Fasting routines here are well and truly set and
dinner will be curried aubergine with veg which has been recommended from the Fast Diet cookbook by a fellow faster. It sounds good and very easy to cook. Looking forward to the gym at 7 am then household tasks, teaching this afternoon, reading for work, garden tidying in progress, greenhouse sorting....wonder how much will get done? Weather here dry and unseasonably warm. Enjoy the fast everyone here! :clover:
I'm in too @GMH! Second of the week for me. I have a notion that maintenance is calling, either that or it's an affy long plateau. I'll kmow at the weekend and plan from there.
Good luck on your first fast @JosephineJoy and to Mr. JJ and have fun greenhouse sorting @Katharina
Eggplant curry sounds great, I'd better look at it. Home. Hot, pool beckoning then a nap. Good luck all, especially Josephine Joy...if champagne Joy sounds good :-)
I'm in :like: Just having my first mug of black coffee of the day.

I have a feeling it's going to be a tough one today cos I'm feeling worn out.....

:chicken2: x
I'm also in. Usually do Mondays, but met a friend for lunch yesterday. I'm having a peppermint tea at the moment.

I also think this could be a tough fast today, but hey-ho there's always tomorrow!!
I hope I'm in too. I had visitors all weekend so was eating things I wouldn't normally eat. Also @Wildmissus and I met for lunch yesterday so decided not to fast on my usual Monday. I am all out of kilter but know it is important to do a fast today and get back to normal tomorrow, although DH and I are going down to Edinburgh for a couple of nights so I will have to be strong and maybe stick to a short eating window. Hey oh here we go. :like:  :starving:
Another one who missed Mondayfast. Keeping busy and have discovered 3 calorie pastilles in liquorice flavour from the Tiger shops. Wont do my teeth much good but pastille altho tiny lasts a decent length of time. Otherwise just had as bovril and milkless tea. I think I will make up batch of soup from butternut squash/onion simmered til soft then blitzed with mini blender. Not sure about main meal!
