Hi everyone!

Second fast day of my challenge. Don't really feel like it but don't want to break my plan this early in the challenge.

Already had 2 cuppas and 2 large glasses of water.

Will fill in my day with a trip to the cinema for some escapism - Bridgit Jones' baby - then the hill circuit walk I usually do on a Wednesday, then back home for house cleaning. Groan. But it should help with the fast day,

Best wishes to those fasting today - and to all of you, whatever your food management strategy is for today. Hope it goes well for you. :clover:
Sassy hope yr day went well! How was the movie? X
Hi Candy @candicemarie

Thanks for the welcome back in the other post!

Fast day was okay, ate a little more than I ideally wanted to, but I was SOOO hungry most of the day. A hard boiled egg and hot drink made from a stock cube mid afternoon did help, but after my dinner of chicken and veg, followed by an orange, I still needed some cottage cheese. But overall that is okay, I did have a pretty active day - cinema notwithstanding!

I loved the movie, lots of embarrassing moments as usual for Bridgit. Not great art of course, but a funny and happy, and touching, movie. Just what I like!! Anything with Colin Firth, of course!!!

Thanks for asking,
Glad you made it thru the day @Sassy1.. Fast days where you just feel hungry all the time are very trying..glad you could take yr mind of food for a few hours with COlin!
We went to see Captain Fantastic last week ( it was ok but not as good as we expected)
I swear everyone in that picturehouse came in brandishing glasses of wine or beer and/ or popcorn.
All too carby for me. Astonishing how folk just mindlessly swill down wine/ beer and wolf big tubs of popcorn! ( Mind you ive done quite a lot of that myself in my time, hence the portly figure   )
Well i guess its tomozz for you now Sass so you'll have that lovely post fast day feel! X
Thanks again @CandiceMarie!

Yes, I am enjoying being on the day post a fast day. I enjoyed my fave brekkie of scrambled eggs, orange, and porridge made with water. And then finished the cleaning I didn't get all done yesterday. I did walk the dogs and go on the treadmill for a while earlier in the day too.

Only 5 others at the cinema with me, and no popcorn eaters there. But it is school hols here, and all the kids going to see other films were loaded up with drinks, popcorn, lollies. I too used to love popcorn at the cinema, or a choc top icecream, but this is one habit I have found easy to give up. I just take my water.

I wondered about Captain Fantastic. I am not a great fan of home schooling, unless necessary, which did put me off, and I think the preview gives you plenty of idea about what will happen. But I am supportive of people who don't just conform to society's expectations, so that nearly got me to the cinema. But then I was busy, and I think I missed the opportunity. I want to see the Aussie film Girl Asleep so that is next in line.
